Long story short I accidentally got myself into deepnest 20 hours into the game (this is my first ever play through I know nothing, and I am bad) and there’s a moment where you think your close to getting out and the floor drops. And sends you to hell. (Back to earlier in that part of deepnest) and as you cling to walls like if you don’t catch them your sanity will slip through your fingers along with any hope of survival you realise that you haven’t been at a bench in nearly 20 minutes, you have 700 geo, and if you die, you will have to come back here. I think I’m losing my mind.

Don’t think about Andrew Doe, sitting with his back pressed to a wall, knees to his chest, arms tightened around them with a grip so fierce his wrists are red where his fingers are wrapped around them. Don’t think about how it didn’t do anything. Don’t think about how eventually he’s so sleep deprived that even though he isn’t tired his body fails him anyway. Don’t think about how the sleep deprivation makes him paranoid, gives him hallucinations of footsteps in the hall and knocking at his door. Don’t think about it scaring him even knowing that everyone who would hurt him would be too quiet for the noises he’s hearing, that none of them would ever knock. Don’t think about him forcing himself to sleep whenever he has a free moment during the day just to stave off the persistent tiredness and paranoia. Don’t think about Andrew putting himself in corners even if it traps him because at least he can’t be sneaked up on.

I want to, just once, see an au where Neil is a raven, Andrew is a fox and Kevin is a Trojan.
