I'm on a mission to get people yapping
Headcanons for the sbg gang??
Yooo thank you for the ask, my chillest of dudes!! I made a pretty big list of headcanons awhile back which I'll link (part 1, part 2) but I have cooked up a few more since then
– Taylor dominated at soccer all through middle school and junior high. Her and Tyler would bicker relentlessly about which sport was superior
– She stopped playing in highschool, both due to her dad's death and just feeling uneasy about the more competitive atmosphere
– Has channelled all her soccer energy into becoming a hacky sack goddess
– Of all the gravies, Taylor has had the most friends. However, almost all her friendships kinda sucked. They weren't like, horrific, but just shallow and high maintenance. And so even though she has a LITANY of other problems now, it means everything to her to have friends that really cherish her and reciprocate her care for them.
– Tyler is probably a bit uneasy about heights after...well you know
– Yeah, remember his vehement opposition to jumping on top of the train? 👀 What do you think homeboy was thinking about?
– Tyler has been falling out of favor with his teammates for quite some time now. No one says anything to his face, but they all talk behind his back.
— Ashlyn is also aware (with her hearing and all). She probably doesn't ever say anything to him, but it does make her a tad more empathetic towards Tyler; and a whole lot more spiteful of the baseball team
– Ben loves to doodle and has become a really excellent artist since his hospitization. Sometimes he will just zone out and doodle his friend. I think Taylor is probably his favorite to draw because she is ✨ fabulous ✨ BUT FOR THE LOVE of all that is good, PLEASE do not peek at his sketchbook or mention his drawings to him. He will completely shut down.
– While Tyler and Ben are the 'I'll beat up anyone who tries to mess with you' type of protective, Ashlyn Banner is in the 'from now until the end of time, I will be the curse hunting your bloodline; i will be the monster beneath your children's bed' type of protective
– Ashlyn going berserker mode in s3 is on my bingo card %100
– Aiden will happily let anyone in the gang borrow his rubix cubes EXCEPT Logan, because Aiden knows it is only a matter of time before Logan figures out the right patterns and systems to master them. and can get a faster time than him
– Ranking of most likely to have their nails painted: 1. Taylor 2. Tyler (black) 3. Aiden 4. Ben (he'll do whatever Lily wants honestly) 5. Logan (if you ask really nicely. Probably would still be a bit squeamish) 6. Ashlyn (no)
– Logan doesn't use emojis, and instead goes for the tried and true :) :( :/
– Logan has a handful of secrets that he has neglected to tell his friends. Even though he trusts the five others with his life, there is still a part of him very reluctant to be open after the Barron fiasco. Nonetheless, he lives in a state of perpetual guilt and shame due to not being more open. Just a few of the secrets that greatly torment him are as follows:
1. He still has a few baby teeth
2. He often goes golfing with his grandfather and is actually totally CRACKED at it.
3. He has been held for ransom multiple times as a kiddo. This experience, while deeply traumatic and formative, also helped him stay calm during the facility incident—as it definitely wasn't new territory.
– I think Jessica and Daniel Clark have a similar mindset around parenting that toxic family vlog channels do. The Clarks spoil and celebrate Aiden because he is an extension of their success—their brand, if you will. I don't interpret them to be abusive or intentionally neglectful, but I do think they lack a fundamental understanding of how their choices and actions impact their son.
– Aiden eats at the Banner's house more than anywhere else. Genuinely can't remember the last time he and his family say down together to eat. If he is left to fend for himself the menu is ramen or a wilted, microwaved hot dog
– When it comes to shipping the characters, I am definitely team platonic everything because 1) they are all just kiddos, 2) in my mind personally, found family can be just as deep and meaningful as romantic connection, and 3) it honestly takes away from the story and theme to forcibly view everything through the lense of romance. THAT BEING SAID, they are still teens, and I am not against a little bit of romance here and there—I just don't think it should be the focus, y'know. I like to think that they are ALL just a little bit in love with each other ♥️
