You’ll never be free of me
Sometimes I wonder if a certian piece of media was written as fetisch fuel but not in a bad or judgey way. like i just wish i could know cause i think it's really interesting how we create things out of Our Kink Drive and how it influences what we make

man, it's so cool when female characters over-indulge and self-destruct and hurt themselves and others on purpose and have no way out but make it worse anyway and bite and scratch and betray everything they stand for for nothing and have no one to blame but themselves.
i really relate to that character in a way i cant explain in words. put her in the eternal torture chamber now please
i’m not even that much of a pervert i can just find the eroticism in anything. doesn’t get me bricked up necessarily i just like to appreciate it.
A lot of Flowers in the Attic fans dislike Petals on the Wind because they want Chris and Cathy together romantically and it's thirteen years of Cathy desperately avoiding that. Personally I really like Cathy didn't accept Chris right away and that she tried to find love in someone else because it made sense for her character. I really like that they got together after every other man she has ever been in a relationship with has died because I love tragedies. I view everything about the Dollanganger saga through the lense of there is a family curse at play that effects them and the people around them. I won't say that Chris and Cathy were destined to be together because they only viewed each other romantically and sexually as a result of Corrine's and their grandparents actions, but I will say that they were doomed to be together. Even if Chris and Cathy are happy together and love each other their relationship is still a tragedy because it will never be the kind of wholesome uncomplicated marriage that anyone else can have. They have to spend their whole lives looking over their shoulders and there are times when that that isn't enough to protect them.
Was anybody going to tell me that “Angel, saint, Devil’s spawn, good or evil, you’ve got me pinned to the wall and labeled as yours until the day I die” was from the Flowers in the Attic series or was I just supposed to read it in Petals on the Wind for myself

Cathy Dollanganger loves to think things like 'There's something deeply wrong with me," and 'I shouldn't even be alive,' meanwhile she's not even the worst person in the room.
