Thought I’d share you some headcanons for the 87 turts to ya if you don’t mind, of course!
- Raphael used to be scared of heights
Donatello is terrified spiders though, won’t admit it (totally not self projecting onto him)
Michelangelo was one of those kids that were scared of the dark (not so much now but I like to think he has a night light
hey if Leonardo was scared of snakes at one point. The others should have one or two as well!
Leonardo has small freckles that are just barley noticeable (I think Leonardo would look adorable with freckles
Raphael has a heart shaped birthmark one of the plates of his shell
Michelangelo and Leonardo both have their old stuffies from when they were young. Leonardo, a stuffed bear named mr Mcstuffins and Michelangelo, a stuffed rabbit named Fluffybuns
Michelangelo struggles with maths so Donatello helps him with it sometimes
Leonardo has trouble to say a few words at times (due to his stutters) especially really long words (basing this on the fact he has stutters
Donatello is somewhat nervous around storms
Raphael sleepwalks on some nights, cracking a comedy routine in his sleep (the others don’t understand how or where he got this from. ) he has to be led back to bed out of worry for his well-being
Leonardo sneezes like a kitten
Donatello suffers from insomnia and sometimes struggles to fall asleep
Aw, these are fun! Donatello would naturally be nervous around storms, what with worrying about their home flooding or his tech/power going out! And Raphael so would perform in his sleep (and honestly those would probably be some of his funniest jokes just because they'd make less sense XD) Not to mention he kitten-sneezes too, his squeaky little sneezes in the "Making of Metalhead" episode are so cute to me, they must run in the family! Leonardo's sneeze at the start sounded way worse but to be fair he was kinda gasping for air at the same time, poor guy. Donatello's definitely got the big dad sneeze of the group judging by how it annihilated that bowl of soup. Honestly the insomnia should be canon for all Donatellos at this point, they're up at all hours

“Uhura never had another name during the series. One of the fan writers wrote “Upenda” - which means “peace” in Swahili, I understand — not officially, but in some of their fan writings. And it sort of took hold. But when they were going to do the official history of Star Trek in a published book, the writer called Gene and asked him was “Uhura” her first name or her last name? Gene said, “Well, Nichelle and I never decided.” We always leaned towards it being her last name because it’s taken from the Swahili “uhuru” which means freedom. So it would sort of be like the same as “Freeman.” So he said, “You can make it her last name.” The writer said, “What about her first name? I’ve come up with one in Swahili. It’s Nyota.” Gene said, “I can’t give you that permission because Nichelle and I named her together, and she has rights to that, so you’ll have to call her and get her permission.” So he gave him my number, and he called me and I laughed and was delighted. He said, “I have a name and it’s Nyota.” I said, “That’s quite beautiful. What does it mean?” He said, “It means ‘star’.” I said, “You can have my permission!” So I have since said that her name is Nyota Upenda Uhura, which would mean a free-floating star: “star of freedom and peace”. one of my least favorite tropes is when a character has a crush that is explicitely unrequited and hopeless, yet in the timeskip epilogue they inexplicably get married. like bro if you fruitlessly pine after someone and they show no interest for the whole 3 year run of the story and then suddenly change their mind. i think theyre settling for you. quite frankly both of you need to learn some self respect. get divorced immediately.
