Assigning things that i've done as a kid to the curtis gang!! School edition!!
Ponyboy was the kid in class who drew on his arm and got in trouble for reading books during class
Dally would scoop up woodchips from the playground and put them on the ends of slides
Steve would take tetherball so seriously. You could NEVER get that kid out of the tetherball line during recess
Johnny would lay down on the curb during recess, watch the kids play, and not talk to a single person
Two-Bit could not jump rope and would do anything he could to get out of it
Soda would come up with the wildest conspiracy theories and loudly tell them to anyone who would (or wouldn't) listen
Darry would've moved up a grade back in 1st grade, except he had terrible anger issues for some reason. He mellowed out in 4th grade and no one talks about it because Darry will punch them out of embarrassment
Dally once punched a kid in the dick because he was annoying. Then punched the kid in the dick sporadically for the rest of the school year (that kid was testing me and i was like 7 okay). he never got in trouble
Johnny was once having what he thought was playful banter with a kid. It was not playful banter and the kid called him a baked potato (because of his skin). Johnny cried when he got home
Ponyboy was constantly late to school and sometimes had to be dragged into the car because he didn't want to go. He screamed loud
Steve tried track because his old man was on his ass about getting out of the house more. Steve got into track, did only throwing events, was piss poor at them, somehow was allowed to participate in every meet despite never placing, constantly avoided running, and never signed up again
Two-Bit tried reading a book from the library one time. He was in the aisle looking at books with a drink in his hand, accidentally spilled it on the book, and hid the book in the shelves and never told a soul
Darry wasn't in school the day they learned about kickball, so he dreaded any time they'd play kickball in P.E because he didn't know how to play and his brain couldn't grasp it just by watching them play, but he refused to ask. Even after graduating he never quite learned what kickball was
Soda had his first kiss with a girl at 7, and that girl had a boyfriend, and he never stopped bragging about it (although he never told anyone who it was)
