I am reminded of this photo, where a community acted together to subdue a sheriff attempting to evict a widow from her homestead at the behest of an insurance company. This was in North Dakota in 1952.
They literally held the sheriff at a standoff until he relented.
So yeah, if you love your neighbors you should be willing to free the bees so that they can enjoy the lovely flowers when necessary.

Either I'm cracking up, or realtors are. If you buy this 2023 home in Benton, AR for $1,267,500 (Zillow's est.: $1,230,400) + $112mo./HOA, not only do you get a free, brand new Cadillac Escalade, but you also get a free Royal Caribbean romantic 4-day cruise to the Bahamas.
Or, for $24m (Zillow's est.: $22,354,200), you can buy this 1947 knockdown (I wonder if you can save the pool.) The house is on non-historical land, so there are no restrictions on building whatever you want.
CORRECTION Bigfoot *is* the wife (at least the most popular and "original" video of bigfoot is widely though to have been of a female sasquatch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOxuRIfFs0w)
I had to do a whole lot of assignments based around the biomechanics of the video to try and determine if we could solidly explain the mechanisms of how this either was or wasn't a "man in a suit" but yea, fun fact! Most depictions of bigfoot are based on that video where bigfoot truthers believe it to have been depicting a female,
Please keep interacting with this post because when I come to tumblr to procrastinate, this shows up again in my notifications and guilts me into writing again
this is me with my art now. I have an idea, start doing it, hate how its looking but still enjoy the idea...and then force myself to tie it up somehow, even if poorly, and post it anyway
This kinda stuff is actually really inspirational to those of us with uncommonly mixed heritage, regardless of if you’re this particular mix just seeing other mixed people make their backgrounds their own instead of being forced to choose is so important for mixed children growing up tbh
Best part (IMO) is that it actually makes sense from a historical standpoint. In feudal Japan, each clan would have a mon (an emblem sort of like a coat of arms) that would be displayed on banners and used to identify that particular clan. Members of a clan would often have their mon displayed on their clothing including kimonos, like so:
Thus, the idea of a kimono in a clan tartan pattern is in fact completely appropriate and would be perfectly familiar to feudal Japanese culture.

alright well...sometimes you start something and end up not liking it once you actually get started...This comic is a result of that. I really ended up just forcing myself to finish it and post it.
The initial premise of this was what was ingrained in me when i was in my old Rifle team. "Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect Practice makes Perfect Performance" and how sometimes you just won't be able to catch up to someone by no fault of your own.
I really identify with Zanka because of that. So...I made a comic thing. Enjoy the badly rendered/shaded scribble thing
ok so, I approached my local library with a proposal to donate a mural as a way to A: build portfolio/gain practical experience and B: give back to a beloved public institution. The director was very enthusiastic about it and i've been working on it since the beginning of March. Come with me as I endeavor to paint what is in all honesty an excessive amount of birds
I wanted the birds to look like they were actually in the space so first thing after doing the draft was to do a lighting study
after that I covered the walls in letters in lieu of a projector/vr headset bc i have neither of those :) Then i take a picture of the section of wall and superimpose the lineart over top of it so I can pencil in the lines
et voila
and that was a whole week on it's own so next comes the paintin' >:)
I don't know what's funnier, the fact that I've met people like that guy in the last reblog comic or the fact that someone compared your work to AI of all things.
So I went ahead and tried to do a thing with a bit more of a background. Granted it is a flat background but i tried to cram it full of stuff. (Unblocked version of bg below the cut.)

The watchman series are notable through the series so I wanna talk about a few theories I have about it.
If you are NOT caught up on the manga spoilers are contained below the cut.
We now know that there are 6 components of the series (5 known 1 unknown) and I'm going to kind of lay out the some ideas to try and pinpoint down where things could lie for them.
Of the known components we have:
Gloves, Boots, Coat, Book, and Necklace
So to theorize we should start thinking about the number 6 and what the items, and their abilities have in common.
A quick and dirty analysis could lead one to believe that they have something to do with the senses. Smell (Boots), Sound (Necklace), Touch (Gloves), Taste (Coat ???), Sight (Book ???). But that's only 5, so we could make some sort of argument about there being an additional "sixth sense" that would be present in the story. It could be anything Urana decides to incorporate honestly. Could be something related to being a giver. Being something that would represent care and love of objects, who knows. She could throw a curveball and make the 6th be goggles or something to be sight and make the book "memory" but then again the boots have a similar tie in there. We really can't tell what that 6th thing would be based on the senses alone.
For 6 as a number of importance the main thing that comes to mind is the 6 perfections in Buddhism. They are as follows: Generosity, Ethics, Patience, Energy, Concentration, and Wisdom. This doesn't seem to apply very well to the items above nor their abilities.
6 is an odd number to derive meaning from. 7 is the typical "literary relevant" number. 7 Deadly Sins/Heavenly Virtues, 7 chakras, 7 seas, 7 laws, 7 days of the week, 7 dwarfs etc. Lots of meanings from the number 7. 6 is a lot harder so lets take a break and look at the items themselves.
4 of the 5 known items are worn. 1 is carried and notably has a stain (Personal theory for me is that the burn on the book is related to the scars Tamsy has or at least how he got them somehow, but thats for another time). So it makes me think of a uniform. That would make sense why they're all branded too. Canis Surebrec was an undertaker. Coat, Boots, and Gloves all make intuitive sense there. Book makes sense as a form of documentation, we know he recorded his own thoughts in it at least so this doesn't seem like a stretch. The only odd one out is the necklace but as it's the most simplistic we could make an assumption that it either relates to the occupation (He is an Undertaker, which we can assume is similar enough to the role in our world at least) or, potentially, some sort of deity/deification thing (As undertakers are in charge of transporting and laying the dead to rest this makes sense as well).
So breaking the items down based on the idea that they're part of a uniform we can do as follows.
Gloves: They cover the hands which is where the work of an undertaker begins. The ability to "create vital instruments" is also the ability to end the existence of those items. They bring forth the ability to fulfill desires before the end. This would likely bring comfort to an individual as they are ready to pass on.
Boots: Amo is set to try and use her abilities to bring comfort through the ability granted to her by the boots. Allowing people to feel happy and comfortable when they are feeling low. An important task for an individual aiding someone along the course of their death.
Coat: This is a signature component of the "undertaker" outfit. A large coat that allows its wearer to change shape in some way (It is NOT confirmed that eating something is what controls this. It could be that Zodyl is just weird or that he uses what he eats as a way to focus what he wants to use for his transformations) Being able to change shape would make an undertaker able to, at the very highest of assumptions, take the form that would bring comfort to an individual (I don't think it would go that far personally) and at the very least, allow for an easier time moving from place to place as well as protecting the individual they are assisting (and themselves obvs)
Book: Like i said before it most likely is a record keeping tool. What do record keeping tools do? They store memories. In storing memories that ties into the manipulation of memories. I don't think i need to elaborate here too much.
Necklace: This allows for communication. Basically allowing an individual to communicate with someone they would like (Maybe it's power went beyond that of needing the creation of an object like a choker originally but idk). Idk about you but i think being able to talk to anyone you'd like before you pass on would be a great gift.
So, what are some other items an undertaker would typically have that aren't included in the items above? A number of things could make sense.
A shovel (For burials), a sheet (To cover the deceased with during transport), needle and maybe thread (for preparation of the body for viewing. This isn't necessarily tied to an undertaker specifically but they hold significant enough overlap with morticians that it can thematically make sense), a hat (traditionally wearing a top hat can be seen as a sign of respect and of mourning. Though we don't see this in any of the silhouettes presented so this is unlikely), a lantern (most depictions of undertakers have this in some form. Typically as they are emerging out of the fog on a dark night), a clock (used to mark time of death and such), and many other potential items.
To me the two most likely items for the 6th is either the Shovel or the Lantern.
The shovel seems like the strongest contender for me. Canis is depicted as holding one in the piece that Bundus is given by Zodyl. The connection is pretty obvious. Undertaker and shovel go, literally, hand in hand. Plus I believe it could tie in to "breaking the chain" as if the shovel was literally used to "break the chain" that may have been tying the sphere to the ground (I have no evidence for this. Just personal thoughts). It could be related to digging up or burying something. Idk how to make that into a giver power thing.
The lantern is a bit of a farther stretch but could be a good subversion into something unexpected. It could be a sort of "illumination" tool that allows for truths to be laid bare or something. Or it could be kinda plain and go with a fire thing where destruction comes into play instead of creation. That would tie into "breaking the chain" again but it would be more melting than breaking i guess. Idk i'm just theorizing.
The clock could be something really cool and powerful. I know some people have tried to tie clocks and time stuff with Enjin and maaaaaaaybe that holds some water with this but I don't know if it would be something he keeps so fully close to his chest, but it could tie into how he always seems to be where he needs to be and does feats without ever worrying. (Especially getting all the collars off everyone seemingly mostly by himself). Could also tie into his pushback on Semiu "gazing into the future" thing.
Only other thing i could add as an absolute curveball is a mask of some sort. But that's more plague doctor over undertaker.
