Hey there

Going to make this an ongoing list. Starting small. Ones I’ve read myself, and then if anyone ever has any to recommend me let me know, this is just for myself to have and refer back to and in case anyone else wants. 

For now it’s mainly aroace but I’m totally down for other books, it’s just harder to know if they’re asexual if they have love interests unless specifically stated (please help!!) (Some things may be spoilers?!?!)

1. Loveless by Alice Oseman (Character: Georgia, main character, book focuses on being aroace)

2. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng (Character: Mia, main character, mentioned in passing without using the language but then her entire character seems to make way more sense)

3. Tell No Tales by C. Chancy (2 main characters who are asexual!!)

4. Radio Silence by Alice Oseman (a main character, Abed, is demisexual)

5. The Midnight Bargain by C. L. Polk (a main character, Ysbeta, is aroace— major plot point in the book, the word is not used but she blatantly expresses not being attracted to anyone and it drives the narrative)

6. ACES WILD BY AMANDA DEWITT (all caps because I’m very excited for this but haven’t ready it yet— a heist book with an entire CAST of asexual characters?!?!?!)

7. Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger (aroace main character!!)

8. Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson (main character’s best friend is aroace!)

9. Six Angry Girls by Adrienne Kisner (one fo the main characters, Millie, is ace)

10. Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata (main character, Keiko, is aroace-- a main theme of the book is that the people in her life find it odd that she has no desire to be in a relationship or reach milestones similar to others, the social expectations and disappointments felt very familiar)
