I'm in a really, really positive place right now, and I think that anyone is able to get to a similar place, as long as they are willing to receive help.

I didn't understand how a person could not care, or not fear feeling the pain and suffering that went into dying.

The stigma destroys people who are already vulnerable.

Every person deserves to be accepted for who they are; we need to educate society that we are all equal.

The stigmatization harms us because it makes us feel like our sickness isn't real and just made up.

I can’t get the help I need for my mental illnesses because I would be letting down my entire family.

Our illnesses do not define us. We write our own stories.

I only have one friend left. My other friends either left me for their boyfriends, used me as excuses to sneak out with their boyfriends, changed so much that I cant even recognize them or take advantage of me. My one friend has been with me since 4th grade. She doesn't make fun of me or question why I'm freaking out, She knows I have anxiety, self esteem issues and depression... even though I have her, I want to hurt myself again even after 9 months of being clean. I feel worthless.

The portrayal of mental illness in the media has spread false ideas about what it means to be mentally ill.

Stigma prevents people from getting help, because sometimes it’s easier to suffer in silence than to risk losing everyone.

More people need to understand that going to therapy is a GOOD thing. It’s a healthy choice.

My dad made me feel like it wasn't real.
