You and your wife had been "trying" for almost a year, but without success. One evening she mentioned the problem to her sister, who talked to her husband about it -- who then mentioned it to a friend of his with a history of "success" with several different women. After he contacted your wife to offer his "services", you and your wife discussed the situation, and while you were quite upset and humiliated that she had told her sister, it was obvious that your wife was very eager to give this possible solution a try.

You suggested that a sperm donor might be a better option, but she strongly argued that doing things "the natural way" was best. So now -- just a couple of weeks later, here she was, about to enter her most fertile week, and about to go away on a "couples romance" cruise with him for a week -- so that they would have a lot of time to have sex numerous times without the awkwardness of you being around. And, of course, she was also looking forward to the romance of the cruise itself!

"I got over my nervousness really quickly because they greeted me so warmly, saying how eager they have been to meet me. Early on, one of his sisters whispered to me how cool she thought it was that her brother had a married woman as a girlfriend, and at one point his dad said that you must be a real loser or something to let me become another man's girlfriend. He said he would never have let his wife date another man -- which made his wife laugh and say that she never wanted to, but obviously it was something that I DID want to do and they were all happy that I did."

"But then" she then continued "on the second morning there, I went for a walk with my boyfriend's mom, and that's when she asked more about you and how I felt about you. I told her that you're actually very sweet and kind and that you've been a very good husband and that, more than anything, you love me and want me to be happy, even if that means dating other men.

She said she thought that was a bit weird, but also that I'm lucky to have a husband like you. And then she asked if I love you -- and I said yes -- sort of -- in a way like someone loves a really really good friend or maybe the way you can love a devoted pet -- but not romantic or sexual love, which, I told her, was the way I loved her son.

That seemed to please her, and then she asked if you and I ever still had sex, which made me laugh, and I said no -- that I was exclusive to my boyfriend and had been for quite a while."
