He'll pout and sulk and push back at the slightest thing almost like he's testing the waters to see if Nakhun will want him back even if he's being annoying or sulky.

It's so interesting because Nakhun has grown up with the existence of alphas and omegas being an intrinsic part of life.

He sees it as an unchangeable reality.

Whereas Phatsa is still reeling from being thrown in the deep end with all these people who seem to know more about him than himself.

And he's just eternally frustrated because of it.

The way that Nakhun is always super aware of the lack of consent in their bonding, and so is being incredibly careful in every other encounter. The blindfolding was more symbolic than anything, but it was an effective way to let Phatsa feel like he had control over the situation. It tells us a lot about Nakhun's level of care for Phatsa.

They also do a really good job of show-not-tell with the fact that Phatsa has started to accept not just his new reality, but that this reality consists of being the spouse to the eldest heir of a this high status family. And as such, he's taking steps to assert his authority in that domain. That's a level of commitment we hadn't seen from him yet, and it tells us a lot about where Phatsa is mentally.

Both characters are still very flawed - Nakhun is extremely stubborn about revealing weakness, and Phatsa is deeply sensitive about not innately being the kind of person Nakhun would have chosen without the bond, and we're definitely going to get more conflict around these things.

There is this shot in the end credits and it's very prisoner vibes. Plus that is defo a family black-suited bodyguard

Sangnuea really understands think quickly. In a few conversations, he understood that Nakhin wants to be with Ongsa and the latter is trying to avoid him. He tried to come back alone, but Nakhin really wants to be a nice person so he had to make sure Ongsa would come with them.

The way he looked at them as if he was saying "don't involve me in whatever is happening between you too". I loved it.

Ongsa thinks that Sangnuea would be a better choice for Nakhin and the latter can only see Ongsa. As for Sangnuea he doesn't want any of this. He only wanted to find a handsome Alpha that could potentially protect him from others and they could have a great relationship. He thought he could find it with Phatsa, unfortunately he is also an Omega.

Nakhun expects this relationship to simply work and to be because they're bonded soulmates and the rest of what makes a relationship will come from being exactly that so he doesn't reassure Phatsa and he doesn't understand the idea of them not being soulmates or having a type because he's always expected to have who he would love be picked for him so he never tried to get into a relationship or fall in love before this. Why would he?

But Phatsa has lived, up until this point, a very different and very innocent (in this specific regard) life. He's never considered the idea of a bond or of soulmates or of someone else picking his partner for him. He's on the path of a traditional love story and he's trying to rebuild that story into the soulmates bonded bite story he's found himself in. He's asking Nakhun to build their relationship without thinking about the bond because the bond, to Phatsa, isn't the relationship it's just a Thing That Happened.

At first I was willing to suspend my disbelief. Sure, maybe secondary genders are just one of those things that exist but are relatively rare and not something people really talk about.

And then the show proceeded to reveal:

there are entire medical specialties devoted to it.

testing centers are everywhere.

young children discuss it in public with the confidence of epidemiologists.

random kids will literally stop strangers to ask omegaverse questions.

everyone wants to know everyone else's secondary gender.

it's a major social justice issue.

knowing your secondary gender is crucial for your health, safety, and basically your entire life plan.

Yet somehow Phatsa has apparently gone his entire life without ever seeing a brochure. Or a clinic. Or a public safety warning. Or hearing a classmate mention heats. Or taking a biology class. Or seeing someone call in because of a rut. Or watching an adult rearrange their schedule around something that, by the show's own rules, would affect a huge portion of the population on a regular basis.

We're way past "he's sheltered." At this point it feels statistically impossible for him not to know. I genuinely cannot come up with a scenario where every six-year-old in this country is casually discussing secondary genders on the playground while this grown, college-educated man has somehow never even heard the word "alpha."

Phasta: You haven't slept with anyone before!?

It's not quite clear yet exactly how they're interpreting heat/rut, but it seems to be somewhere in the middle of "regular expected bodily function" and "can be caused at any time by the right/wrong combo of pheromone exposure". Both Sangnuea and Nakhun mentioned medication, so it's likely that suppressants of some kind exist in this universe.
