Behold, the power of blocking! I blocked the left end of the scarf to see the lace pattern and check length. I then finished knitting the right side of the scarf. May we never doubt the power of blocking again!

So after last night's 3 a.m. fire alarm, I decided I needed some comforting, warming french onion soup. It's been a long time, soup.

So who in human history had the fortitude to figure out about meringues? Whoever it was, that person had a hugely beefy whisk arm. Good gods.

Vegetarian tuna noodle casserole. Used chickpeas and mushrooms instead of tuna, and threw a little Old Bay on top for Realistic Ocean Type Flavor.

Why yes, I do think I will knit lace and watch a "Criminal Minds" marathon today.

This was my ill-fitting orange sweater. After de-kinking, another go.
