I think of the first draft as an armature.

If I was making a beautiful bronze statue, I would need to make a clay model first. And, depending on the shape, before I even got out my clay I would need to get some good thick wire and create a basic shape for the clay to adhere to, so it doesn't all fall down. Once I have this essential 3D wire frame, I can start building and subtracting and refining.

But if I try to refine on just clay, it won't have enough of a core to hold it up. I'll sculpt a beautiful hand only to have the whole arm fall off and go smush.

The armature isn't the sculpture. It is the frame you build the sculpture around.

The first draft isn't the novel, it's a sort-of-novel-shaped thing that will hold up everything you build and beautify later.

also with big project like animation or poem i think about process as "fish from skeleton"

i do "fish head" with the idea and "what i am trying to say"

that's why my film "monster with red fangs" has reimagining of vampire myth - the "fish head" is antiracism message, and main heroes - black vampires, so audience should be at their side. But original vampire myth is "Vampire is a monster", which i played with. Entire film in the end is thought about "real monster is not who people usually clame so", and actual monsters there are Hunters

all is from "headfish" - "what exactly i want to say by my project", "what is main idea and theme"

after "headfish" it goes further - but still bones.

in my poem "and then the rabbit saw the sun", about my immigration expirience, i've made "skeleton" of chapters and what they should tell to audience.

it even end up in final poem - first chapter, in final poetic form, is asking questions which later chapters are giving answers

and then goes meaty layers - sketches, concept art/refs of characters, storyboards, raw version, semi-final version, final version Of Parts - then parts together

in my game "my rose will be my grave" (datesim) i made mechanics with test graphic and then started to add semi-final version of characters sprites, then - editing it to one style making it final versions

no other kink is getting such "ew!!! disgusting" hate, which is so impactfull people getting So afraid to go into it openly

it's like, lifestyle. you can get fat, very fat from this kink - and you, well, will be fat everythere

which turns fat kink shame literally into "i don't like to see people getting fat beyond limits i decide, and i also don't like them loving the fattening process"

Angry at all the people who continue to demonize fatness SO MUCH that a consensual kink between grown humans is seen as disordered, when 90% of the diets we see in the mainstream are straight up disordered eating. But they make you thin, so it’s okay!! 🙄🙄🙄

When we demonize fatness, we demonize food. And with how quickly the ozempic-era has changed society and decimated the body-positivity movement, we are demonizing both like NEVER before. Even compared to early 2000s fatphobia, this shit is on a whole new level.

I have so many more thoughts and may make a more fully fleshed-out post in the future, if my account isn’t nuked. But really, all this shit boils down to too many people seeing fat (and disabled) folk as sub-human, and the dire need for fat liberation because of it.
