Steddie where Steve and Eddie find out their friends are running a betting pool on when the two of them are going to start dating.
Everybody is placing bets. Everybody.
(Hopper believes they’ll be together before Halloween, Joyce is betting on Thanksgiving. Karen Wheeler is betting on New Year’s eve.)
It’s Robin who lets the information slip, of course. Eddie is pissed, but Steve sees an opportunity there. What if they pretend they’re dating? Robin can place a new bet, they pretend they are a couple somewhere the Party can see them, then they get the money and split it between the three of them.
“How much money are we talking about?” Eddie asks.
“Last time I checked, five hundred dollars. But I think Erica, Nancy and Will placed new bets last week, so it’s probably more now. Dustin is the one in charge of the money.”
“Of course he is.”
Robin ends up placing a bet on Steve and Eddie getting together in less than a month. Dustin is surprised when she tells him that, and also suspicious about Robin’s change of heart; her last bet had been they wouldn’t be together until next year.
“They’re worse than ever, kid,” she justifies when Dustin questions her about it. “Last night we were watching a movie at Steve’s and he spent the whole night basically on Eddie’s lap. I thought he was gonna start purring because Eddie kept petting his hair like he was a giant cat. There’s no way they’re taking too long now; they are not that dumb.”
Dustin could argue but ends up accepting Robin’s excuse. The bet is placed and she gets back to Eddie’s to inform her friends her part on the plan is done.
“Now you have a month to decide how you’re gonna do this,” she says before leaving those two to their shenanigans.
But that’s not a problem, they already know how they’re gonna get that money.
There’s a carnival coming to Hawkins in two weeks, and there’s no way the kids won’t be there, stuffing their faces with enough greasy food that would make a normal person sick to their stomach and wasting their money on games.
Two weeks and a half later, Dustin tries to bully Steve into taking him, Lucas and Max to the carnival. Steve makes up a whole story about his parents being in town and throwing a dinner party they’re forcing Steve to attend. Dustin then asks Eddie and Eddie just says no, giving the kid no other excuse. It’s Jonathan and Nancy who end up taking the whole party.
It’s a Friday night when they finally put their plan into action. Steve picks Eddie up for their “date” around six, and they head to the carnival. If Robin’s info is right, the kids should arrive a little over half an hour later, so they have time to prepare before their little scheme starts.
They walk around for a few minutes, looking for a place where they can have a clear view of the entrance, so they can see when the kids arrive. They stay close to the food stall because it’s perfectly placed a few yards from the ticket booth, and Eddie can also stuff his own face with greasy food while they wait.
A corndog and half a funnel cake later, Steve catches sight of El and Max walking ahead of the rest of the group, the boys following.
“Come on, it’s time,” Steve says offering his hand.
Eddie takes it without a second thought, smiling with his mouth still full of cake. “Let’s do this, sweetheart.”
They stay a few more moments there as Eddie finishes off his food, until they are sure the kids have spotted them. Then it’s show time.
Hand in hand, the two of them explore the stands. Eddie spends a good fifteen minutes trying to win a prize for Steve, just for Steve to win it in his first try. They go on a few rides (the very cliché ones every couple always go when they’re on dates), stop by the food stall again so they can share some cotton candy. They do all this hand in hand, only letting go when they really need to.
The kids follow them around the entire time, just like Eddie and Steve knew they would.
After almost an hour of this, they come to the conclusion that they’ve been convincing enough and it’s time for them to get their money. Eddie pulls Steve towards a more secluded area, rounding some stands and walking towards the parking lot until they leave all the noise and light from the carnival behind.
When they are sure there’s no one else around, they stop and Eddie crowds Steve against the closest car.
“Can you see them?” he whispers in Steve’s ear, resting his hands on the guy’s hips.
“Yeah. They’re hiding behind the green truck. Dustin and Mike are shoving each other and arguing, but the others are paying attention.”
“Good.” That’s all Eddie says before he kisses Steve.
That’s a point in their plan they discussed thoroughly. How far did they need to go to get their hands on that money? How far were they willing to go? Eddie was okay with whatever, but he had no idea about Steve.
“Dude, Dustin is not giving Robin any money if we only hold hands or hug. Kissing is the safest way.”
Still, Eddie didn’t want things to be weird between them after everything. They talked a lot until they finally agreed on one kiss, just for show, so there was no doubt they were together. They’d hang out for a few days after. They’d show up together to pick up Dustin when the kid asked, Steve would make a point to visit Eddie at the trailer park so Max could see them too. Robin would get the money; they would split it between them. Then they’d break up amicably. And when the kids asked, they’d just say it didn’t work out, that they were better off as friends.
That’s the plan they came up with; a very solid plan in their opinion.
That is until the time comes and they finally kiss.
When Eddie’s lips touch his, Steve’s whole body comes alive. Goosebumps run down his arms, and he feels a spark right down his spine. Eddie’s hands on his hips feel like brands and Steve gasps, shocked, as his senses go haywire.
It’s too much and not enough. Steve’s heart is hammering, his brain working like crazy to process what the hell is happening there. But, then, Eddie is pulling him closer and deepening the kiss and Steve is gone, gone, gone; hands burying into Eddie’s hair as he kisses him back with everything he’s got.
Neither Steve nor Eddie sees the kids leave, cursing and complaining about their lost money. They’re just too busy to notice.
Eddie’s back hits the wall and Steve crowds into his space, never breaking their feverish kiss. Steve’s hand gently comes to cup his cheek while the other presses on the small of his back, arching Eddie’s spine to touch up against the hard line of his body.
Barely parting, Eddie’s shallow intake of air gets cut off again by the sinfully plush and slick lips, quickly passing his own to lick into his his mouth.
He doesn’t know where to put his hands—they end up bunched in Steve’s hair.
Gripping tighter on the short strands as the thumb on his face ghosts down to push his chin up. A lewd pop sounds when those lips leave and start trailing down the curve of his jaw, teasing their way down his neck only stopping when its found its mark.
Eddie drops his head back to the wall with a soft groan, basking in the overwhelming presence and feeling of SteveSteveSteve that will always feel all too consuming.
“Steve…” He can’t help the small whimper escaping.
Lips leave their place and hands cup the sides of his face.
“Hey. Hey, Eds. You okay?” Bleary and confused as to why Steve stopped, Eddie blinks his eyes open to look at the concerned expression on his face.
“W- Yeah—“ He clears his throat a little, “Yeah, I’m fine, Steve.” The man just looks at him, reading his expression carefully and quietly searching for any signs of discomfort.
Then what just happened it hits him dead on.
Eddie closes his eyes and drops his head slightly.
“Please tell me you didn’t pick that up,” he winces.
He’s met with silence and risks peeking at Steve, and then watches as realization dawns on his face followed by a snarky grin that splits his face, a laugh on the edge of it.
“Yep. You bet we fuckin got that Munson,” the camera operator calls from the side of the set. They send Steve into a fit of hysterics and Eddie shoves him back a step.
God damnit, it was the second take at least and not the first.
“Fucking Chri— We’re deleting that and forgetting this ever happened.” Steve’s laughter rings throughout the 3 sided room, “I swear to go this does leave this set.”
“Hey, at least you were convincing.” It’s the goddamn *director* this time. This is mortifying.
“Can it. You try kissin this guy and see if you remember your fuckin name.”
They raise their hands, “Sounds like a good deal to me—don’t have to ask me twice.” Eddie just shakes his head at the antics.
This wasn’t exactly how he thought the 6th day of filming for his “big acting debut” would go, but given the circumstances, he can’t necessarily be disappointed either.
His fellow cast and crew haven’t been anything less than amazing and accommodating. They’re all so passionate about the film, it’s indescribably enthralling to be apart of.
He smiles when Steve finally catches his breath, raising his hands to cup his face again, and gives him a chaste kiss—more smile than lips.

This is a possible sequel scenario from my Unwritten Fame AU: starting Rockstar Eddie and Actor Steve, whom have been dating for years, but only recently came out as a couple to the public.
Steve will drop lore on Eddie in this ‘everybody knows this, catch up’ kinda way when it painfully clear that everybody absolutely did not know this.
Like, Eddie asks Steve to move his chair so he can slide passed him like three time in the middle of a party at the Byers and is being ignored. Finally, he’s like, “Ground control to Major Asshole. Can you hear me?”
Steve’s only notices him because he kicks his chair in the process and is like, “Oh, sorry, man. Gotta talk on my other side. I lost my hearing on this side.”
Which, great.
Eddie feels like an asshole but he can actually put that to the side because the whole table is just like, “…what? Since when?”
“Um…” Steve says, like. Yeah. This is common knowledge. “Two years ago?”
One time in the middle of the summer, Eddie is ogling the freckles across Steve’s shoulders at a pool party when Steve yawns. Eddie jokingly asks if teaching Robin to drive tired him out that much and Steve’s like, “Nah, I had a seizure this morning. Those tire me out for days. It’s so annoying.”
“Woah,” because Eddie didn’t even know that was something on their radar. Neither did Nancy judging by the whole plate of hotdogs she just dropped on the ground.
Steve causally mentioned that he didn’t have his appendix anymore a couple weeks after they closed the gate officially. Eddie asked when he had the surgery expecting an answer to be when he was a kid, but Steve gives him a weird look like, “Uh, couple weeks ago.”
“A couple - what?” Jonathan sputtered from across the room. “A couple weeks ago, we killed Vecna.”
“Yeahh???” Steve rolled his eyes. “And then I had my appendix taken out. That’s what happens when you’re stabbed.”
“You were stabbed?!?”
“C’mon, man. You were there. Keep up.”
Eddie is shut up mid-sentence by lips against his and, wow. Whoa. Steve Harrington kissing him right now and Eddie should definitely kiss back but, “You like guys? I’ve had a chance this whole time?”
“I’m literally bisexual.”

Steve Harrington sat in the lawyer's office, his eyes fixed on the divorce papers in front of him. He couldn't believe it had come to this. He had tried everything to save his marriage counseling, romantic getaways, and countless late night conversations. But in the end, it wasn't enough.
His wife, her voice trembling, had admitted to being in love with someone else. The words had cut deep, leaving Steve feeling hollow and defeated.
As they left the lawyer's office, Steve's wife turned to him, her eyes filled with a mix of sadness and guilt. "I hope you have a good life, Steve," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Steve nodded, unable to speak. He watched as she walked away, feeling a chapter of his life close behind her.
Steve trudged into his mom's small apartment, feeling defeated. The divorce had left him with nothing no house, no assets, and barely any dignity. His wife, Shelly, had been the breadwinner, and Steve's lack of financial contribution had been a major point of tension in their marriage.
To make matters worse, Steve had lost his job at his dad's firm a year ago. His dad had claimed he was slacking off, but Steve knew that wasn't true. He had been a hard worker, but his dad had always been tough on him.
Now, with no job and no wife, Steve was forced to move back in with his mom. He felt like a failure, and the cramped apartment only seemed to underscore his reduced circumstances.
As he dropped his bags onto the floor, his mom enveloped him in a warm hug. "Don't worry, sweetie," she said. "You'll get back on your feet. And besides, I never liked Shelly anyway."
Steve raised an eyebrow, surprised his mom always seemed to like her. "You didn't?" he asked confused.
His mom shook her head. "No, I didn't. She was always so... critical. I'm glad you're rid of her."
One evening, as Steve was rummaging through the fridge for leftovers, his mom sat down at the kitchen table, a faraway look in her eyes. "You know, Steve, I was just thinking about when you were a kid," she said, a nostalgic smile spreading across her face.
Steve closed the fridge door, intrigued. "What about it?"
His mom's eyes sparkled. "Remember Eddie?"
Steve's brow furrowed. Eddie? The name sounded familiar, but he couldn't quite place it.
And then, like a floodgate opening, memories came rushing back. Eddie, his imaginary friend from childhood. The one who had been his constant companion, his confidant, his partner in adventure.
Steve's eyes widened as he stared at his mom. "Eddie?" he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper.
His mom nodded. "Yes, Eddie! You used to talk about him all the time. You'd play with him, have conversations with him... you were so convinced he was real."
Steve's mind reeled as he tried to process the memories that were suddenly surfacing. He had forgotten all about Eddie, but now it seemed like just yesterday that they were inseparable.
Steve's memories , transporting him to a tumultuous time in his childhood. His parents' fights before the divorce were constant, with plates shattering and chairs crashing to the floor. But amidst the chaos, Eddie had been his rock.
Eddie would sit with him, holding his hand, and whisper reassuring words. "It's okay," he'd say, as he put on Steve's favorite record. The music would drown out the noise, creating a sense of calm in the midst of chaos.
Eddie had been more than just an imaginary friend he'd been Steve's confidant, his partner in adventure, and his best friend. They'd done everything together, from exploring the neighborhood to playing make believe.
Steve had even taken Eddie to school, where his teacher would often ask him who he was talking to. Steve's response was always the same: "Eddie." His parents would receive concerns from the teacher during parent teacher conferences, and they'd sit Steve down, urging him to quit pretending Eddie was real. His dad would go one step further and ground him anytime he mentioned his name.
But Steve knew the truth Eddie was real, at least to him. He remembered the way Eddie's eyes sparkled when he laughed, the way his voice sounded when he sang along to their favorite songs. His stories of he would read to him.
As Steve reminisced, a bittersweet smile spread across his face. He couldn’t believe he forgotten about Eddie
Later Steve winced as he applied ice to his throbbing eye, the result of intervening in a fight between a belligerent man and a frightened woman. He settled onto the couch, flipping through TV channels to distract himself from the pain.
As he scrolled, he heard a voice behind him.
"Ouch, that looks like it hurts."
Steve's head jerked around, and he let out a startled yelp. "Who the hell are you? How did you get in?"
The man standing before him looked eerily familiar, but Steve couldn't quite place him. The stranger's eyes, however, seemed to hold a deep sadness, and his voice was tinged with hurt.
"You don't remember me, Stevie?" he asked, his tone laced with a mix of disappointment and longing.
Steve's mind racing, he examine the stranger's face, and suddenly, memories came flooding back.
"Eddie?" Steve whispered, his voice trembling with a mix of shock and wonder.
"In the flesh," Eddie said with a cheeky grin, plopping himself down on the couch beside Steve. He snatched the TV controller from Steve's hand, his eyes scanning the channels before landing on some cartoon with wizards.
"Ah, that’s more like it," Eddie said, settling in as if he owned the place. "You know, Stevie, I see you're still getting into fights. Some things never change, huh?"
Side note so basically Eddie shows up in a difficult time of Steve’s life and tries to help him through it, even helping him become friends again with Robin and others. And try’s to help him with his confidence and Steve is crushing on Eddie like he he thinks he’s attractive. When Eddie goes to a bar with him a women is flirting with him and Eddie’s upset but covers it trying to get Steve to talk but Steve’s not even interested because he has feelings for Eddie but does it when Eddie tells him to. He goes home and Eddie’s not there and he’s worried he’s upset but the next night Eddie asks how was it . And Steve’s like he didn’t even go home with her. And they kind of admit their feelings to each other. I’m thinking in the end though Eddie at this book store and Steve goes up to him and is like Eddie I thought you were waiting at home and Eddie’s confused like Steve I thought I would never see you again and Steve’s like what and he’s like yeah I haven’t seen you in awhile. And turns out they both are each other imaginary friends.

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters, My name is Eman Za… Mazin Fakak needs your support for Help my family survive famine an
Steve Harrington who doesn't die. No matter what, he'll wake up afterwards. He learned it young when he survived a car crash that killed his mom. And he struggles after her death, not knowing why he survived when she didn't. As he grows up, he can't relax and parties to try and be full of something lighter. But he drinks too much at one party and he doesn't have a good friend to rely on.
As time goes on, Steve dies by Billy and by the Russians. He doesn't really understand but he begins to accept it. But he also becomes more careless. Which is how Eddie finds him.
Eddie had been able to see ghosts since he almost died from his dad. The first ghost he ever sees is his mom and she passes on after getting to hug him goodbye one last time. After that Eddie sees the few elderly people who died at the end of their lives. And the people who died too early. He got stuck as the freak for all the times he's accidentally talked to someone who wasn't there.
He had talked with Benny who was worried about that young girl. Barb who was so mad about being left behind by her friend. But he hadn't seen Will Byers and it made sense when he was found eventually. But he did hear some things from the agents stuck at the middle school who looked torn apart. Eddie learned of the Upside Down earlier but promised Wayne he'd stay out of it.
Until he saw Steve sitting on the edge of the pool, looking at his body floating in the water. There was some blood swirling in the water and it made Eddie sick. But Steve just stared blankly at his own body before sighing and standing. He froze when Eddie locked eyes with him. He glanced at the pool than Eddie. "Hmm," he gave him a small smile and moved past him.
"Wait!" Eddie called afterwards and Steve paused, "aren't you, like, I don't know needing something? Most ghosts-"
"Oh," Steve chuckled, "this won't last much longer." He stated and walked away but before he even reached the door back into the party he blinked away. Eddie let out a scream when Steve's body spasmed and his head flung up out of the water. There was still blood on the side of his face but he was alive. Steve groaned as he pulled himself out of the pool. "See," his came out hoarse and Eddie was just so confused.
I'm trying to prove a point to my brain: Reblog if you think fanfiction does not need sex to be good.
There is a trend I’ve noticed that smut fics tend to be much more popular than anything else and honestly I just want to have something to look at to remind myself and that writing doesn’t have to have sex to be worth putting out into the community.

I Want to Know What Love Is

Steve doesn’t know when it’ll stop hurting. Everyone says time heals all wounds. But it’s been three years and that feels like more than enough time for the Eddie-shaped wound to heal.
Why does it still hurt?
“Steve?” Robin’s quiet when she peers around the corner.
Steve’s sitting alone on their couch in the middle of the night, staring at the blank television screen, with tears slipping down his cheeks.
“You ok?” Robin slides in beside him, immediately wrapping her arms around him and tugging him in close.
“I don’t know what’s wrong.” He wipes the back of his hand across his cheek, and then hugs her closer. “I’m just feeling lonely, I guess.”
“You got me,” she tries to sound upbeat.
“I know,” he pats her arm. “Thank you.”
They sit together in silence, rocking in each other's arms. The darkness feels like a vice around Steve’s heart, squeezing him until he can’t breathe.
“I miss him,” he murmurs.
Steddie smut headcanons?
Omgg someone intrested in my steddie brainrot.
So for once i choose to ignore whatever flight of icarus says, im a virgin eddie munson truther. Hes a leader obvs, dungeon master, probably front man, why wouldnt he be a dom? Sometimes i think HE thinks he is a dom, like a whore in theory not in practice, but once steve has in under him he doesnt know where to even put his hands. Gets confident w time tho.
Steve could be more like a power bottom, specially w eddie not knowing what to do with all that. He likes to hold him down and ride him like hes getting paid for it, even if the first times eddie comes in less than 10 minutes. I feel like steve deserves to have someone be obsessed w him, and that would be eddie, he makes him feel desired in a way beyond sexual, even if he loves to know he can get eddie hard with little touches, hes also confident he actually loves him. Think of em like morticia and gomez adams
With time they could be switches, steve always topped before and we cant blame eddie for wanting to get the harrington special.
I do believe steve would be a lot more into bottoming, maybe he found out before eddie told him, like from some mag he found when he went to indi w robin, or just shit he heard in the locker rooms. He only tried fingers before, but pretends not to know anything the first time he sleeps w eddie just to tease him, eddie gets so nervous he has to take the reins.
We all know about steves breeding kink, i think hes a cum slut fr and they fuck raw after getting tested even tho eddie was never w someone else, but bat rabies and shit yk?
Steve is a shower circumsized, eddie is a grower uncut. Not gonna be dropping shades tho
Im really into trans steve harrington (im trans myself just in case) i think he has the noisiest wettest pussy in indiana. Hes a little scared eddie will think of him diffrently since hes gay but god he loves to give him head. After loosing his virginity my dude cant get his hands off of him, always touching what he can, begging for a little something.
Im a huge fan of 'Something lost, something found' by novemberthorne if u havent noticed yet
Might have adult content? Uhh sure hope it does
It amazes me how some of yall forget that noah schnapp stands w genocide once he got a messy bowl cut for stranger things, ik hes not the only one in the cast and lots of ppl are gonna watch it anyways, maybe cause they like the show or other actor. But bffr, yall thirsting over this dude, i wish i was that quick to forget shit abput people cause 😭😭.
