Thank you for the love and I’m happy Taejin is your new fav pairing.

Perhaps you have missed it but I did a Jealous V analysis on one of my latest masterposts where there is a bit of Yoongi, you can read it here:

I’m sorry there is not much to say about V being jealous of Suga so this will be  more of a BTS business strategy kind of masterpost, i hope you don’t mind. 

I think V is not jealous cause he and Jin currently go out with Suga and J-Hope quite often so whatever he experiences there, is not a motif for jealousy to him. And as I said, V just feels jealous when there is a public push of Jin being shipped with other members, I think he would not be able to live with the other members if he was non-stop jealous of Jin, he’d have a stroke! Sure he doesn’t like Jin to be touched or give his attention to nobody else but I think he sees Suga as the least threat amongst the members. I suspect that’s cause he knows Suga better than we do, or cause Suga could be in a relationship.

Like for instance, on this funny moment where Suga was holding Jin in place. V was not ok with any of what was happening, but not cause of Suga. He was not ok with the situation of his Jin being exposed and subjected to any hand that wasn’t his. But the only thing he did about Suga was placing both his hands way down on Jin’s derriere like his body language was saying “Let me check and make sure you all understand that I am the first one here, marking a territory that is mine”. He was way more annoyed with Jungkook’s enjoyment of the slap, Bangtan’s cheering and even Rapmon who did not even touch Jin!

LOL the way V touched Jin’s derriere is like so loving, like Jin’s booty is the most precious treasured thing. HA!

LOL Jealous Tae vs Bangtan: but look at his ultra tense body language and the “how dare you” pose at Kookie and Rapmon!

So even though I do think Suga respects and appreciates Jin a lot, I don’t really see that much of a deep emotional bond between them. Don’t get me wrong, they adore each other, but they are definitely not romantically interested on each other.

But let me go back to the subject and explain why Jin and Suga’s bond has being widely fan serviced on the comeback:

On a marketing point of view, I do think BigHit is creating a buzz with the rap line + SOPE + the roommate card cause, after this year’s hyung line and Jin’s fandom rant, they need to reinforce the hyung line. 

This is a much needed change since this fandom often pays attention just to the Maknae line and BigHit has ignored the importance Hyung line for too long. Basically they have not promoted the Hyung line efficiently so far. They need a strategy change that has been ongoing with SOPE and previously with Nam’jin.

The Rap Line and Sope push to promo the Hyung line.

And Taejin sowing love here and there: Taejin has being sightly promo here and there, most notably on DNA mv (no surprise there since BigHit has constructed the entire BTS MV theory about Taejin as a romantic pairing) and DNA choreo and also getting more space for cuteness and mutual shoulder attacks.

Since Nam’jin has proven to be highly accepted but complicated in an internal level (since Jin and V grew inseparable), the producers have changed how Jin is seen by the fandom, transforming him into what I like to call multi-ship Jin. Namjoon is also a fluctuating member, engaging the rap line, Jimin and Taehyung in a more fluid manner and being gradually set apart from Jin. 

Detaching Nam’jin just a bit: Like recently when Jin said he and Rapmon had dinner but they have nothing interesting to say. It’s like the marketing saying, see we are still Nam’jin and they are still cute but ya know, Nam’jin is not really so close. 

Jin talks about Taejin and Sope having a dinner with PD Bang: Jin said he had a double date dinner, Taejin and Sope with their producer. Again reinforcing the Hyung line, praising the producer but subtly sowing Taejin.

Jin is now universally shipped and this works very well since Jin himself is an easy going person who is the best on BTS to understand and put in practice the marketing strategies with a business man mind. 

Cause the Jin fandom was so vocal about the mistreating of Jin Big Hit has decided to push Jin with as many band members as possible cause they believe this is what the Jin fandom means when we say we want Jin to have more space in the band. 

Of course this has been proven problematic for V due to his territorial and jealous nature, and this is a subject I often talk about.

I hope this quick explanation has helped you understand a bit more of why Jin has been fan serviced and pushed with the Hyung line lately. In a way I feel that the comeback has been beneficial to the Hyung line, especially J-Hope who’s having the spotlight he deserves and to Taejin who have more lines and more freedom to PDA. And it also removed the unnecessary heavy load out of Jimin and Kookie’s shoulders. I myself am quite content with the change.

How precious to watch a new funny episode of our annoyed lil strawberry parfait being possessive and jelly about Jin! Let’s take a look and masterpost it, shall we?

1. Strawberry Parfait & Bavarian Cream Puff: arrive together, obviously…

2. Jin magnet Taehyung: Jin stands a little behind Taehyung quite close rubbing shoulders, despite the fact there is no specific BTS formation arranged. How endeared is Jin looking at Hobi! And let me fangirl with Taejin and Sope (who, excuse me, were in matching outfits!!!) precious frame!

3. Taehyung passes the mic to Jinnie. Because hell yeah, a gent!

4. Peripheral Jin vision Taehyung: A very brooding and discreet stage V is quite the expert in the art of peripheral vision when it comes to a certain someone. Is like he’s got a Jin radar or something!

5. Shamelessly Jin starer Taehyung: What can I say, you got to do what you got to do right? Like, we all love to look at Jin, but if you are the first and the ultimate confessed Jin fanboy you must stare at each move of his beautiful facial muscles, at each of his breath like you are not on stage at all, like the only reason of your existence is to react to his prince beauty and old man brilliance.

6. Shamelessly Jin starer Taehyung: This heaven could go on forever…if only wasn’t fot…

7. Third Wheel Jimin pre-attack: Oh no! Taehyung’s fanboy rainbow bubble was interrupted by no other than his bestie, yes our very own beloved Jimin Third Wheeling, third wheels again and it’s not welcomed! Peripheral vision panic: V dead inside. LOL.

8. Third Wheel Jimin actual innocent attack: Turns out Jinnie had his mic up on his nose, eclipsing his beautiful face to shine in full glory and Jimin was only trying to fix it! But even if he was saving Jin from the attack of a wasp, it’s no excuse to our possessive V to allow anyone, not even the bestie to dare to touch his Jinnie, on stage of all places! How dare he?! V’s brain was like: Must check Jin’s reaction. No don’t smile Jin, don’t dare to smile…aish, he smiled. 

9. Jimin should know better. HAHA look at his face, his brain cannot even process what just happened, betrayed by his bestie! The absolute audacity! 

10. The second attack, panic mode: Also known as J-Hope RM should know better. AHAHAAAHAH OMG, poor baby, he can’t have a second of peace and there is another man attacking his Jin?! What is this day to poor possessive Taehyung and why is everyone ‘touching’ Jin when millions are watching?

11. J-Hope RM really should know better: HAHAHA the volcanic stare, like look at how Taehyung fumes at poor Hobi Joonie! He blinks like 20 times cause he cannot even believe what just happened right in front of his eyes! Not even J-Hope is to be trusted?! J-Hope Joonie dared to adjust Jin’s mic?! The treason!

12. YEY! No more touching Jin! Finally Taehyung smiles after the mic crisis. Now he can be happy next to his Jinnie who is safe and no one is daring to adjust his mic. All is right in the universe.

13. Jin notices Taehyung: After all that just happened, Jin’s subconscious act to adjust his mic is quite telling. Peripheral Jin vision Taehyung notices it.

14. Jin makes sure Taehyung is ok: Jin glances at Taehyung and Taehyung then steps closer to him aligning, in a reassuring body language. 

15. Shamelessly Jin starer Taehyung: is back with his A-game, staring at Jin in quick deep glances just before they leave the stage. 

16. Shamelessly Jin starer Taehyung: Walking backwards, still staring.

17. Shamelessly Jin starer Taehyung: waiting for Jin, still staring.

18. Shamelessly Jin starer Taehyung: when the funny trophy thing happens, no control of the endearing staring!

19. BTS leaves the stage: Endearing staring, true happiness. Sunshine. Yeah, he is still staring…and now has a solid reason to point at Jinnie!

Jokes aside, this episode of Jelly Taehyung vs Jin+min and 2+Seok Nam+Jin was so freaking cute! I’m sure he was not angry at them or anything, that’s just how he behaves when anyone dares to interact with Jin, especially when they are in public or when the ARMY can interpret it as a ‘real ship thing’ lol. By now we can tell he will never change, he can control it sometimes, but most times he just rolls with his possessive feelings and blesses us another Jelly V episode! That’s who he is now, a hopeless Jin fanboy, we all have to live with it!

Yep I have seen it. Well our Jimin is living up to his name right, so we gladly welcome another episode of Jimin Third Wheeling!

But look at them!!! If those are Jinnie’s legs OMG the flexibility, if that is V’s leg shielding his man, bless his territorial soul! And don’t you love how V is such a protective alpha male when he is with Jin? Like he is always slightly behind or leading Jin, such a gentleman!

I think this also proves what I have been saying in some of my masterposts, when the cameras are off, notice that Taejin is ALWAYS together. I’ve seen it countless times over the years, Taejin quietly lounging together when nobody is around, going on dates ‘unnoticed’, sitting next to each other on flights, Jin carrying V’s jackets or his stuff, their constant mirroring, everything that creates this subtle omnipresent Taejin mutual gravity. 

When they went on a concert date in freaking matching outfits…

When Taehyung took Jin on a beach date in Hawaii…

When they got married in Vegas and had Sope as groomsmen went on a Cirque du Soleil double date with Sope in matching outfits…

It’s Jin and Taehyung’s personal preference to spend the precious and scarce free time they have, just the two of them together. 

What is important here is the evidence that whatever i the nature of their private co-dependancy is 100% not for BTS’s promo or for fan service purposes. They are not just a visual ship to be a BTS cute ship push. since years of evidence make very obvious that Jin and V are way closer in the privacy of their real life then their public personas appear to be.

But talking about Jimin, it’s quite interesting his obsession in Third Wheeling Taejin all the time right?! Also it’s a bit LOL to photograph Taejin like this but I guess Jimin just likes to be the National Geographic photographer of the band, capturing Taejin’s candid secretive love life to our amusement!

Soon I promise! But as you wait for it, here is a memorable case of Jin vs Hwarang cast.

JK, JM and Jin get salty over V saying ‘I love you’ to the actors of his drama.

Then Jin legit storms!

And demands him to say ‘I love you’ in the group chat:

After Jin’min start to play without him, V ends the bickering saying it’s Jin who actually never says ‘I love you’ LOL:

Of course it’s a banter kinda of fan service jealousy, but very cute cause Taejin start to take it seriously. After Taehyung says “I love you” he playfully calls out Jin for never saying ‘I love you’ back! HAHA oh my Taejin drama…

OMG I can! Jin and V theories is my current fave hobby!

There was something off between them, a tension around late 2015, early 2016. As I said on my last post I think it has something to do with them figuring out how to deal with their feelings, that slow burn they had been living for years cause you only need eyes to see how V was infatuated with Jin since forever. I also think Jin felt something too, there are several vids that Jin just can’t take his eyes away from V, their first anniversary vid is a good example of pure mutual platonic love. I don’t think they had something going on cause there was no intimacy in their actions, just shyness and silent flirting but I’m sure they have noticed and maybe Jin kinda pretended it was just friendship. I think for V it was a sure thing this infatuation, his half kawaii-flirty, half self-aware posture, how he mirrored Jin, most things he’s done when Jin was around was typically of someone who is in love.

And notice that attitude was only with Jin since he has always been totally loud, crazy and comfortable around the other boys. Same goes for Jin who has always been all puppy banter in jinkook + jinmin but always soft and romantically chivalrous with V.

I have no idea what happened in late 2015 early 2016, but something has changed and perhaps it has something to do with V becoming more certain of who he is, or just the tension of the slow burn of living and working together was too much. Maybe V made a move, maybe Jin did, but I feel something happened, my theory based on their public interactions like concerts, pics, vids and the vlives is that they did kiss or made out or whatever and things were kinda unsure cause once they started it they had no idea what to do next. They were closer, always side by side, flirty, mirroring more, starring at each other with more intensity, happier… like they had a secret kinda happier.

On the other side the tension was so papable and in some events V deliberately was annoyed at Jin like ISAC and was super not ok with all the KenJin push. On other occasions they avoided each other, standing as far away as possible and pretending they were not in the same room. This kinda of tension would not be happening if they were not already somehow secretly involved.

On the subject of V being annoyed an jealous this is not just about Ken, there is like tons of video evidence of it, like recently with the nam’jin kiss, V was MAD and super jealous. There is more evidence of V not having it with any man around Jin..The funny thing is that what is often seen as a nam’jin and v’kook (fan-service) moment was actually a clear (secretly in love) Taejin one…

Bon Voyage was like that, both were so tense and sad and annoyed on the first episodes, V was hurt and mad and moody, Jin only wanted to be left alone. Jin who is always a bubble of joy wasn’t even laughing, V was depressed and even unconsciously sabotaged his trip twice by losing his bag and then getting lost in Sweden. Notice that an already annoyed Jin had decided to stay alone in the hotel, I think he wanted to wait for V to arrive in Stockholm and maybe talk privately…but of course, V got lost. On the next day both Jin and V were completely different, walking side by side an there was that adorable candid moment of Jin hugging V by the river for ages, comforting him about something we will never know.

My theory, they probably had some sort of fight before leaving Seoul and it got sour…in Stockholm they talked and worked it out since the rest of their trip was much more chilled out. But I can’t see as a coincidence that is always Jin and V having mutual drama and mutual love euphoria.

The rainbow thing was at that interview with the dude on the red wall the day after Billboard. Jin says he loved the rainbow event in Chicago, usually rainbow events represent the LGBT community supporting an artist, globally a rainbow means gay pride, its even their global flag. So Jin talking about the rainbow supporting BTS is truly awesome.

Ahhh thank you for your asks sweetie! As I said, I’m gonna answer you with 3 master posts ok!

I mean these are personal theories based on what I see of their interaction and of course we will never know the entire story so all we can do is connect the dots and fill in the blanks.

Mirroring like people who are into each other do:

Yes Jin said V is the closest and I agree with you, their on screen bromance was far from being the "cutest” for fan service purposes so why did Jin said V was the one he was closest to? I think what Jin said explains a lot about Taejin actually, cause they had real feelings for each other from the start, what they had and shared was not for the fans to see, like it was not part of the job, not to promote a bts bromance. It was private, therefore precious.

This is why I believe taejin is something else, Jinnie & V interaction are completely different from the other pairings in the band. Like all the boys are touchy and promote the skinship and the management knows how to explore that aspect for the fandom, they know how to milk the cuteness of v’kook and even jin’kook. So to measure if something is real just by skinship and the kinda of puppy love all the boys display for each other is just not valid for bts. They legit are all superglued to each other all the time.

So to understand whats real and whats showmance, let’s compare Taejin with the popular V’kook. When I watch for instance the vids with “proof” that they are a real couple it’s mostly funny cause it’s all about they acting like puppies and two kids playing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s totally cute and I get why their ship is pushed so hard by their management but there is no psychological or theoretical evidence of a real affair other than cuteness.

It only takes a minute to compare V in Vk*ok pix versus V in taejin pics, the difference is OBVIOUS, with Kookie he is a tease, a model, defiant, goofy, showing all his teeth with that pretty boy perfection, its all a perfectly staged performance and k-idol cuteness ship glamour to please the masses. No real romantic relationship needs an over the top kinda peformance like that, real couples don’t behave like they need to share their feelings like they are in an advertising. Its all aesthetics and I’m sure they adore each other but can you see genuine romantic sentiment in Tae’s actions? Me neither…

Posterboys, showmance & staged cuteness overdose:

Now if you see taejin pix, V is sometimes kinda shy, sometimes proud, sometimes even awkward, always seductive and delicate, he poses like if he was posing with his boyfriend. There is softness between them, they usually mirror, nothing is forced, no full teeth fake smiles, there is no idol V being all flamboyant, just 2 boys in candid togetherness and sometimes even a little real life bittersweetness in their eyes. Just look at these pictures and tell me that is not how a normal real couple, like your friends or even you and your bf/gf usually pose!

And when we talk about them, we have to kinda separate their relationship in phases. As I said before, I don’t think they had something going on before 2015. But I do think they were already secretly close, back in the start when Jin said he and V had the same hobbies and loved to watch dramas so they were used to stay together until late, I feel that they were already emotionally bonding. It was about friendship and companionship and not like trying to hook up with each other but when you are so young and kinda alone in an exciting different environment it’s most common to fall in love within your inner circle. So I believe V really got emotionally attached to Jin as a protective figure and that eventually became a platonic love.

One thing that also made me believe V was the one who was first really in love, was the infamous “taejin showered together” video. Jin talks about V asking to shower with him like it was something funny to be shared and you can see how V smiles shyly but his body language (hiding his hands, tight lips, turns away from the public) expresses he didn’t want Jin to share that. I think Jin didn’t see (or pretended not to see) that for V their thing was not just a funny bromance.

So basically they kept taejin a “secret thing just for them” without pushing their bromance like the other bts pairings were pushed probably made both Jin and V protective of this one special thing they had that was not for publicity or for promoting the band. There are many videos and stuff of the boys playing around and taejin is low-key sitting together in the background just lounging or something… It was their thing, and not a fan service job. And trust me when you have a very public life like these boys do, anything private is treasured.

To be honest, I think the vk*ok and namj*n push has always been a planned strategy to hide taejin in plain sight, but thats a conspiracy theory for another ask…

Sure! But that is so difficult to answer cause taejin is such a blissful pair and they spoil me with so many epic moments. Cause I feel that since 2016 they’ve decided to just let it all out and just dont even try to hide the fact they are a couple whatever they are anymore. So now we’re getting tons of obvious hints and its amazing but hard to pick just 1 favorite moment. But I’ll give you some of my faves:

PUBLIC TAEJIN

Blood Sweat and Tears music video + MAMA performance and fancam love. What I love about these moments is that the MV is a public and management approved push on Taejin as a pairing. The fact it happened in 2016 adds to my theory that Jin & V were already involved in late 2015 and their management probably is aware of it. 

I think it was a clever management move to start pushing Taejin publicly if they knew about their closeness, cause supporting them as a ship in the MV and events as MAMA would also mean to let them interact without raising suspicion. This way, for the fandom, Taejin is only the visuals ship who are “having moments” to promote the MV concept and nothing else. For the grand public it is harder to see Taejin’s reason to be acting like a couple aka reality if it is hidden in plain sight disguised as just Taejin pairing for fantasy/aesthetics. 

And what I love the most about those fan cam moments is that V is so happy, like truly proud of being together with Jin like that in public. He is so precious holding him and body language, so possessive! Jin is his.

CANDID TAEJIN 

Cause there is beauty and true real couple second nature to how they walk around right?! The Las Vegas pic is just art since they had no idea they were photographed (we can exclude them being cute for fanservice) and yet there you have it Jinnie & V locking arms like real couples do.

THE MOMENT

Hypothetically speaking, I can answer your question.

We have to consider the Taejin timeline to understand what kind of hypothetical boyfriends they are right now. Because it took so much time for them to finally become a couple I think they are different from most couples that start a love affair right away.

If you take a moment to compare Jinnie & V’s dynamics before and after, it’s like 2 different duos. Before, there was the tension of that platonic love and mutual admiration from a safe distance, using the group’s friendship to hang out and kinda gravitate around each other. Those long years of becoming friends and spending almost 24/7 together but not “together” probably made both of them so frustrated… perhaps this is why now they are totally a mellow couple and like superglued. I also think they feel really protective of what they have now, cause it was a struggle to get to this point.

So let’s analyze both individually at this new taejin “love conquered” phase.

TAE

My boy V has changed drastically over the past year right?! He has matured and became more sophisticated, calmer and kinda like more sensual…it connects with the taejin timeline. From my point of view, the boy became a man. To experience his first relationship gave him a self-assurance he did not have in the past. The fact he really had to conquer that love, to finally date the one he was into for so long gave him that permanent sense of pride he sports every time he’s with Jin. Jin was his grand prize and he won him.

His usual behaviour, that most of us have noticed of pulling Jin to himself on back hugs or hooks is a clear body language sign of dominance and possessiveness. Unconsciously V is saying “Jin is mine and he is not going anywhere”. And to the shoulder pulling thing, Jin usually responds accordingly, but I can explain that later…

Biting his shoulders and touching Jin’s lips in body language means an instinctive act of claiming the object of affection as your own. 

There is also a sense of protectiveness towards Jin. All the boys love to scold Jinnie, but V never does that. He is always defending him (from verbal or physical attacks) like Jin I his damsel in distress and he is a brave knight lol…

He is constantly praising Jin, from his looks to his ideas or silly things. He is always paying attention to what he is saying and some times recently, even completing his sentences in interviews.

JIN

My petal Jinnie also has changed a lot on the “love conquered” phase. He is much more comfortable in being louder, funnier and express his joie de vivre. I guess dating his longtime love + being worldwide hansome dork = happiness! 

When the pulling by the shoulders (or head or arms or whatever part of Jin’s bod V can reach) happens Jin’s default behavior is to stay still and obey. He never avoids the hugs or tries to overpower V with a “bro hug” or something.

To accompany the shoulder pull, Jin loves to caress V’s leg. As seen on the Mama vid, bowling, board game, sb mv and several bangtam bombs Jin has a thing for V’s thigh.

When he touches V he gives him the softest, most lovely butterfly wings touches…

Jin has the need to express his feelings with impromptu intimate compliments and love declarations like there is no one else but them in the world…

TAEJIN TOGETHER

I mean these dorks walk around holding hands, shopping at Gucci and going on secret dates…They also did a freaking love song duet and an homoerotic live performance at MAMA… it’s safe to say they are the explicitly ‘romantic kinda of couple’ ya know…those kinds that are super glued and so sappy you kinda get second hand embarrassment lol. Plus they legit constantly wear (that’s a trend in Japan and Korea) couples outfits like here, both in Burberry + Gucci:

Analysis (psychological):

Tae is dominant, possessive, protective and loves to praise Jin.

Jin is passive, pliant, soft and loves to spoil Tae.

Veredict (fangirlical):

Tae & Jin are those dream like couples that make you believe in love stories again but who are so disgustingly in love that you kinda know that they have raised the bar too high and you will never find a love like that so it’s ok to be forever alone as long as Taejin is thriving together.
