I’m in such a healthy relationship. It really catches me off guard sometimes. Like tonight I’m feeling really dehydrated (long weekend of drinking) so I walked across the street to get a Gatorade while my bf is asleep already. I know he has no idea I left but I also know when I tell him tomorrow he’s not going to have any reaction about it. Where as previously my ex had yelled at me for the same stuff. Going so far as to not even let me take the trash out by myself at night. I’m even going on a girls weekend trip this coming weekend and we’re both just like have a great time without me! Whereas before there was no event my ex and I didn’t go to together. Like nothing. I’ve learned the value in our own time and space. Especially after living alone for a few years I really got to know myself. I’m so glad to have a partner who respects my independence and understands that I am a grown adult. He makes me feel so heard and loved. I’m such a lucky woman.
