Because I love side character important to the plot. I do have to talk about Nimue. She's confirmed to be the first dark one then we see her meet Merlin and she's this sweet, caring woman that believes life persevering is the best revenge. Her idea of revenge was planting a garden then she fell in love and stayed with her flowers for a few years. She cracked jokes with Merlin and was playful with him. Nimue is a woman in love that wants her boyfriend to propose to her at any given moment and wants to teach him to laugh at himself and enjoy life. She keeps the worries and visions of the future away from him by simply being around him.

And she becomes the dark one because underneath her love of life is her fear of death. Her immense grief. She can't bare the thought of Merlin losing immortality and dying so she tricks him and tries desperately to show him death is cruel and neither of them deserve it. She kills the man that kills her family because she has this new power and she just saw her village still in ruins and she's more grief driven than she's ever been. Then the love of her life leaves her because in his eyes the woman he loves is dead.

In my years of loving this show I've never even ONCE seen anyone say this means she has a praise kink, so I have to be the brave soul to say it.

But anyway, this opens up the door for her love language to be words of affirmation AND for her to suck at it. Which is a little canon, who the hell says, "you may be mad, but you have magic." Robin I fear right now isn't the time to say Alice is crazy. I do think she gets better at this though because she's much better at speaking later on.
