i think a lot of bother about the girin familiar can be solved by a change in perspective. you are not paying $2.50 for a familiar, you are donating $2.50 to a charity and as a bonus you receive a familiar. people are so focused on this png when the real focus should be on the real people and real culture fr is trying to honor and connect with here.

My take on the beastclan stuff is that if your first reaction to the admins apologizing about imperialism and racism on their lore, saying it was unintentional and not something they wanted to write and immediately go "WHAT ABOUT DARK LORE NOT EVERYTHING IS NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Maybe take a step back and reevaluate why you think that unintentional, badly written (by admission) racism is worth staying up because its ""dark"". Why should indigenous ppl be thrown under the bus because you want conflict, when there's already plenty of other conflicts in the lore? There's a strike happening in fire, the ancients are rising again, the entire dragons are still in constant fight for dominance, why do we also need to make imperialism a part of it, when its clear the admins didn't want it and weren't capable of handling it properly?

Best part of a new dragon breed dropping is I get to open my freezer of 92 childless orphans and stick them in the scrying orb to see if any of them suit the newly discovered ancients
