Papa takes you to the park on a rainy Saturday afternoon . . ☔🥾🧥⛵🐥🛝

waking you up gently, wrapping you with a warm blanket (fresh from the dryer). picking us out matching outfits of hoodies & sweatpants. helping you pick which pacis/toys to bring. making you a warm, filling breakfast to give you lots of energy. packing us lunches & juice/water in your sippy cup. putting your leash [backpack] on you to keep you close & safe. splashing around in puddles with you while we walk to the park. having an umbrella sword fight with you. playing on the wet playground equipment with you, even though i get all messy. showing you how to skip rocks on the lake. sitting with you by the edge of the water as you feed seeds to the ducks. playing in the mud with you (& helping you immediately wash it off when you decide you hate mud). listening to the rain on the tin roof while we eat lunch at the visitor’s center. carrying you home when the food makes you a bit too sleepy. starting a bath for you to warm you up & make sure you don't get sick. putting your clean clothes & towel in the dryer so they're warm again when you're all clean. spraying your clothes with stain-remover to get out the grass marks. making you creamy hot chocolate while I cook dinner. feeding you while your eyes slowly close, exhausted from our busy day. kissing your forehead before putting you to bed, cozy & safe in your big kid bed <3

having my stuffed animals sitting on my lap and my favourite blanket wrapped around me while he talks about anything and everything with my favourite music playing quietly through the speakers

Sitting in the passenger seat with the window slightly open in the summer, keeping us both cool, or having the heating on in the winter making me super sleepy
