regressors who are just so, so sleepy and their cgs who know and are already preparing for put down.

infant regressors who cry and whine, feeling their body tighten up and the blanket of sleep making them cranky and their caregiver who picks them up gently. cooing at them and letting their little baby cling to them till they settled in their crib.

toddler regressors who yawn while they put up a fight, claiming they're too big for nap time and their wide awake anyways. their eyes falling heavy and the rapid movements of play time become slow and steady, words between action figures and dolls becomes mumbled. caregiver who chuckles at the scene and makes sure to sit close by, giving their kiddo the chance to cuddle up before sending them to dreamland.

kid regressors who know they're drifting off and can get themselves to bed with no problem, but still sheepishly ask their caregiver to help them. getting them tucked in, mumbling and rambling about different things in the process, and one final kiss on the temple to seal it all together.

teenage regressors who think they're too old for naps, but the weight of the world exhausts them. who texts their cg about taking a nap, sending emoticons to match and explaining it feels childish in a way. and their caregiver smiling to themself as they explain you'll always be their baby.

🧸 Little one who's feeling smaller than usual, their words catching in their throat like honey and resorting to little noises and tugs at their carers sleeve to communicate instead

🧸 Feeling fussy and getting teary eyed without knowing why, making grabby hands at your cg, silently asking for them to hold you in their warm and safe arms

🧸 Your cg goes down a mental checklist of all of the things that could be upsetting you, finally settling on hunger as they try to set you down for a moment while they make you a bottle only for you to follow them close behind like a little duckling, holding onto their finger instead of their entire hand

🧸 Snuggling up against your cgs lap and drinking your bottle, one of their hands holding it in place while the other is rubbing soothing circles along your back

🧸 After your bottle your cg sets you down on the floor surrounded by a plethora of soft toys, chuckling to themselves as you begin to nibble on the ear of a stuffed animal before they quickly clip a paci to the collar of your sweater and gently push it into your mouth instead

🧸 Feeling overstimulated by the loud and colorful cartoon playing on the TV, making your way back to your cg and clinging to them for comfort as they run their fingers through your hair and begin rocking you at a slow pace

🧸 Dozing off as your cg quietly reads a story to you, placing soft kisses on the top of your head and spreading a blanket over the both of you, not daring to move even if the position is uncomfortable in fear of waking you

I want a crib so baaaaad… I’d imagine feeling so safe and secured with a low raised bed and bars on each side!

My bed sits smack dab in the middle of my room, and I have slanted wall and tall radiators so there’s really nowhere else to move it. I’m always close to the edge or practically falling off, and I always wake up to my lovies on the floor, among other things. >:[

So not only would a crib make me feel very comfy-cozy, it’d convenient to for me as well! And I could put a blanket over it and feel like I’m in a big ol’ cozy tent aughhhhh!

But OMG they’re so expensive! An adult sized crib ranges from 1,000$ to 2,000$ sometimes even 3,000$! I could never imagine myself with that much money in a million years!

And if you aren’t trying to buy one from Etsy the you’d have to hire a carpenter or something and I’d be so embarrassed to do that! Like how do you just casually ask a wood working professional

“Hey! Can you make me an adult sized crib with hearts carved out in the front and back of the baseboards? Please and thank you!”

And the carpenter stands there awkwardly inside of a nursery that looks like it was build for a giant baby-, probably questioning if they should ask questions or quit their job. And trust me they’re gonna ask questions- or be curious at the very least.

I think I’d be better off emotionally and financially learning to woodwork on my own and build one myself 😞
