May We Meet Again

I understand people being upset with the ending. Initially I wasn’t thrilled with the end either. However I rewatched it. I sat with it for awhile, read the interviews and I gotta say I really love it now. Even if Heaven and Hell had agreed to leave Crowley and Aziraphale alone so they could live their eternity together I don’t think that would’ve happened. I think they always would’ve been dragged back in.

Aziraphale and Crowley being who they are would’ve come out of retirement to help humanity. They literally gave up their existence for us. They deserved to be together with no caveats. In a universe where their abusers weren’t still lurking in the background.

I think it’s pretty beautiful actually that God Herself told them that they wouldn’t experience the new universe. Yet what happened? They reincarnated anyway. They found each other again, against all odds, anyway. They fell in love again anyway. They got married.

Then the end credits suggest that they keep reincarnating and finding each other over and over again. I can’t help but believe in a love like that. Fictional or otherwise. It was a perfect ending for these two beings.

My initial reaction was bittersweet. Bitter stemmed from my disappointment that we didn’t get a second kiss that most of us wanted so bad. Also that we didn’t get any verbal “I’m in love with you” from both Aziraphale/Crowley. The longer I sit with this finale, though, the more thinking about the end brings a smile to my face. Aziracrow finally got to choose! No Heaven/Hell interference. They chose humanity, yes, but ultimately they chose each other. Finding each other in a brand new universe with no Godly interference just proves all the more that Aziraphale and Crowley are meant to be. They aren’t just Soulmates. They are THE Soulmates.

I also love that Asa (I hate his human name still though I’m so sorry) was the one to show interest in Crowley first. To be the one to chase after Crowley as a parallel to Crowley always being the one chasing after Aziraphale. Asa being immediately like “oooo this one is mine” when Anthony showed up was great.

So, no, we didn’t get a physical kiss. The finger kiss was cute, though. Personally I don’t think it’s because they’re asexual either in their demon/angel form or their new human ones. I just think the show likes to keep it ambiguous so that fans can imagine what they want. Besides we got that beautiful speech from Aziraphale about how Crowley is the best of all of them. How Crowley completes him. Hell, God Herself acknowledged that their love for each other made her smile.

What if he’s there to threaten Aziraphale? By threatening Crowley’s life? Something along the lines of bringing Jesus to him or not going along with the second coming or Satan will make sure Crowley dies a true death? Do we think Good Omens would go that dark?

Or I’ve been reading too much fanfiction lol

I read your opinion on people posting on tiktok (the post about people practicly making up reasons to hate characters) and I can't agree more on what you wrote. I saw so many posts Where someone is making up stuffs about Rhysand, Feyra and Inner Circle and it's so annoying. And ussaly they are really disrespectfull to the author's that have good opinions on Inner Circle.

Lately I saw one of them arguing that Rhysand is a horrible monster who doesn't care about anyone but couldn't even find the fragment in the book that was showing that, while the author of the (pro Inner Circle) post was both respectfull and used the fragments(the whole picture not only single sentence) in post. That anti Inner Circle person was also defending Keir(?[I am not sure if that was their intention but it looked like that]).

When I see people in fandom who are just hating and making up stuffs on the characters(it doesn't matter if I like the character or not) it's so annoying and I start wondering why are they reading the book series When they hate main characters and (sometimes) hate the plote. What is crazy to me is also the hypocrisy of the anti Inner Circle When they are saying that it was ok for Tamlin to lock Feyre in mannor(I don't agree with it)but it was world crime to lock Nesta When she was self-destructive(I don't really feel it was100% ok to lock Nesta[I have mixed feeling about it] {I am not Nesta stan} but it's definetly not worse than what Tamlin did).

I am sorry that I am asking anonymously but I don't want a toxic part of fandom(the part that starts insulting and bullying for diffrent opinions on fictional characters, and is just spreading hate) to go to my profile and behave toxicly (I am not sure if that is a good Word to use?).

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this opinion but to get pissy in your comment section when the mass majority of the comments are being respectful just not agreeing with you and labeling that as “triggered” is so annoying to me. Don’t post a public Tik Tok if you want to have a temper tantrum in the comment section because you’re not being agreed with.

These people so badly want Rhysand to be this awful, villain-esque character he isn’t. One of the themes of the book series is that despite all appearances the Fae aren’t perfect. They are gray characters. That includes Rhys. Of course these are the same dim wits who want him killed and Nesta to be High Queen, I swear, lol.
