So, I was just watching all of the White Day events for Persona 5 Royal on YouTube because broke, can't play the game myself. And honestly? My favourite one was the one where you don't date anyone at all.
It starts with Sojiro laughing at Ren and Morgana because they're teasing each other for not having a date but then tells them that it's fine to not have a date on White Day because it's not like it has to be romantic.
And honestly, I love these lines 'cause I think they're a really good outlook on those holidays. But, his words really get the two thinking so after he leaves, Ren suggests this:
Just as a way to say thank you for everything Sojiro has done for them throughout the past year. (Have I ever mentioned how much I love Ren? Because I really love Ren. He's one of my favourite fictional characters. Period.) And Morgana very happily agrees, so after school the next day, they go to buy some flowers before returning to Leblanc and surprise Sojiro.
And I love Sojiro's reaction because he acts like "Ahhh nooo, you shouldn't have got these for me, stop being sillyyy" but you can tell that he's actually really touched by the gesture and it's just so sweet to watch.
And another little thing, but this one I might be wrong about, I noticed that he gives him red roses. Now, I don't know a lot about flower language but I've been wanting to learn for a while because I find it really interesting, but I know that red roses represent a form of love. So this could be Ren saying that he really does love Sojiro for everything he's done and feels a familial bond with him.
In short, I just really, really love Sojiro, he's such a great character with some of the best development I've ever seen and I hate that Ren has to go home at the end of the game when he has a perfectly good dad in Tokyo.
