So I stopped watching TBBT years ago. I just couldn't take it anymore. However my aunt filled me in on the last episodes and OMG. 🤦🏻‍♀️

So, from what I've been told, Sheldon and Amy get a Nobel Prize. Good for them.

And Penny, a character who has made it clear she doesn't want children, is pregnant. 😐😒 Because you know, woman don't know their own minds. They just say that, they don't mean it really. Once they get pregnant, they'll be happy because they're women and how could they not actually want a kid.

Are you friggin KIDDING me? So, instead of having Penny get the ending she wants, which is an acting career, she gets what "all women want" a husband and a kid.

Fuck you TBBT. 🖕

But then, I'm not surprised really. I mean, Penny has never really been her own character, she's always simply been the Object of Leonard's obsession. That's it. So, whatever he wants, she gets. No matter how terribly he treats her. No matter how belittling he is to her.

And that's why I stopped watching the show.

Its also why I preferred Shenny as a couple, and why I think they were better suited. There's a genuine mutual respect between Penny and Sheldon (yes, I know he talks down to her, but that's not out of a lack of respect but rather a lack of social skills) he's always supportive of her choices, even if he doesn't particularly agree with them. And he drops everything and forces himself out of his comfort zone when Penny needs him.

And vice versa.

Penny should have been with Sheldon, who doesn't seem particularly interested in having kids. At least not at the beginning. I mean he'd want to pass on his genes, but hell, he's already did that in the pilot with the sperm bank. With Sheldon, Penny could have had her career and the childless life she wanted.

Leonard should have been with Amy, who he seemed much better suited with in my opinion. (Especially in the bedroom department. Seeing as apparently sex was all Amy wanted. - despite that not actually being her original reason for wanting a boyfriend. But any, she wasn't any better treated than Penny, because you know....woman)

The MSR fics are refusing to be finished, so here’s my latest Big Bang nonsense instead.

The Old Switcheroo

Sheldon was acting bizarre, and that was really saying something.

It started early afternoon, when he knocked on Penny’s door. She hung around in the kitchen waiting until he finished his third knock, but when she opened the door he was gone. She considered going over and seeking him out, but she wasn’t in the mood for dealing with a crazy person so she went back inside and resumed doing the dishes.

An hour later he knocked *just once*.

With that said, the reason *I* ship Shenny, personally, is because my interpretation of Leonard and Penny’s relationship, as well as Sheldon and Amy’s relationship, is that the foundation of each is unhealthy. Remember that this is only *my* interpretation and not a statement of fact. But in my point of view, Leonard views Penny as an object, a prize that bolsters his own ego, makes him feel superior to his other “nerdy” friends. He is ashamed of his nerdiness, and feels being with a “pretty girl” makes him less nerdy, like you said. This makes me sad, because if you’re a nerd, you should own it. I’m proud to be a nerd. I love all my shows passionately. I love polysyllabic words. I’m amazing at math. Anyone who looks down on me because of these things isn’t worth my worry, because that attitude is a reflection on them, not me.

As for my interpretation of Amy and Sheldon’s relationship, I feel that Amy similarly “uses” Sheldon for her own ego. For someone who was lonely most of her life, her ego gets a boost out of having a “boyfriend.” Maybe that was how it started, and maybe she developed real feelings. Fine. But the thing that bothers me about that relationship (again, my opinion, not fact), is that she doesn’t really accept Sheldon for who he really is, and is always looking to “change” him. She views his hobbies as childish, even though it’s a large part of who he is. It’s sad because so many people fall into this trap, of “I can change this person” when really, the core of a person doesn’t change. 

Now, I don’t mind Amy as a character on her own, but I do have a real problem with Leonard as a character. In my opinion, he likes to present this front that he’s a “nice” guy, but really, when push comes to shove, he’s an asshole. He gets petty and mean when hurt or denied his way, sees no problem with treating his supposed “best friend” like crap, and has proven over and over again that he views most women as objects, a target to score, pursuing them not for who they are but for what they can give him, namely sex. 

4. Where Did the Romance Go Between Penny and Leonard? They’ve been married less than a year, but unless Penny and Leonard are having a heart-to-heart talk, why does it seem like they’re as anti-PDA as Prince William and Duchess Kate on royal work duty? Shouldn’t we see more romance from these newlyweds? Lately, Penny has more chemistry with Sheldon.

Lmao… And here’s the thing, this isn’t the first time he’s said this. Recently he said he’s stopped watching the show. I don’t blame him.
