my nefarious scheme to get people into looking at birds outside is working… this is so cute! i’m a little jealous of how comparatively common and widespread shrikes seem to be in much of asia. we have two species in north america, the Loggerhead Shrike and the Northern Shrike, both of which in most places take some real work and luck to get a look at.

I'm curious now, would she use a pump or just do normal injections? She def seems like she would use a CGM which is what I'm assuming you've drawn her with (idk its been a while since my sibling walked me through the specifics lol)

also I love your art!! I've always struggled with lineart/inking for digital art but seeing how you draw is starting to make it click, and I love your use of warmer colors

🙌 my vision... multiple people very close to me are t1 so i've kinda been very familiar with it my whole life... when it occurred to me for kohane it somehow just clicked? i think it also has a satisfying narrative fit with her having a not very adventurous childhood (gently overprotective parents perhaps).

and yep, she uses an insulin pump and CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor for those who don't know - it's a little doodad you wear usually on your upper arm for a week or two at a time, with a small sensor wire that stays in your skin so you don't need to do finger pokes to check your blood sugar)! she has it pretty well-managed so there's not much she can't do these days, but it definitely adds some logistical hoops on their long roadtrips and at airport security.

Tsukasa only figures out what it actually means a week later when he tells saki kys when she’s leaving the house & she’s like “???? Do you know what that means” and has to explain it to him and tsukasa 1. Has a histrionics fit about how he just told his beloved little sister to kill herself 2. Has another histrionics fit when he remembers he told touya that it means keep yourself safe when he last saw him.
