i know it’s rare for me to post on here but any help with this would be so so appreciated. as some of you know from my story, my youngest cat got injured recently (a week ago as of now) and since the 19th, we’ve been to 3 ERS and 2 vets all leading to today’s visit. alkaios was first suspected to have a pulled groin muscle which turned very serious very fast due to him having urinary retention. today we were able to get x-rays done thanks to everyone’s generous and kind donations so far.

we learned he has a fractured femur and a potential spine injury causing the possibility of nerve damage which could be causing him not to urinate. we were informed that we have to get an MRI of his spine ($7,000+) to rule out nerve damage and if so, see if there is a solution, and then move to hip surgery if we confirm that he’s able to urinate on his own.

alkaios has been everything to me since the day i brought him home, he made so many impactful moments for all of us in the house (including his older cat brother naos and dog brother nico). anything would help more than you could imagine. i don’t want to lose him. shares, likes, interactions, donations, ANYTHING and EVERYTHING helps.
