HAPPY PRIDE!!
I wanted to do a little Easthaven pride parade drawing to celebrate this year!! Happy Pride everyone <3
close-ups below the cut
Don't tag anything I post with "compassion fatigue".
If you don't feel like caring or think it's "too hard" to, just don't engage with my material at all. You have that option; no one will ever know. But don't ever suggest that it's "exhausting" to have to learn about antiblackness and racism, especially if you're not the one living it. Just don't say anything.
remember when a trans guy shot up a school and for about a week every major news outlet in the usa was misgendering him to make it seem like he was a trans woman and then when people figured out he wasn’t every right wing media outlet dropped the story like it was a hot coal. utterly baffling nation we live in
It's so cool that we directly get Pride Month right after AAPI Month HAPPY PRIDE MONTH WITH A SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO QUEER ASIANS <3
You are worthy of unconditional love and support. Even if you're not out yet or not currently in a safe space to be out. Even if you are unlabeled or haven't found a label you feel applies to you. You matter. Happy pride month to us all!
Happy pride to all of the gay Asian folks <3
Happy pride to all of the lesbian Asian folks <3
Happy pride to all of the bisexual Asian folks <3
Happy pride to all of the pansexual Asian folks <3
Happy pride to all of the aromantic Asian folks <3
Happy pride to all of the asexual Asian folks <3
Happy pride to all of the intersex Asian folks <3
Happy pride to all of the nonbinary Asian folks <3
Happy pride to all of the trans Asian women <3
Happy pride to all of the trans Asian men <3
Happy pride to all of the omnisexual Asian folks <3
Happy pride to all queer Asian folks (who may not have been directly listed here but matter JUST as much) <3

Molinard French Glass Cicada-form Perfume bottle, c. 1900
I've seen you mention that Yves Sakila death was a result of police violence but that's not techinally true, it was private security guards for the department store arnotts. He shoplifted a bottle of perfume and the security guards used excessive force which lead to his death. (None of these links have the video of his death). Maybe there is confusion because the irish police is called 'an garda siochana' which is commonly shortened to the guards. Obivously this is still a problem regardless.
I am not specifying to try to deny problems or sweep racism under the rug, I want the people responsible for his death to be the ones held accountable, their names haven't been revealed yet and they are currently under investigation. It is obviously still a problem of racism and ireland needs to be more proactive about tackling issues instead of pretending there's no racism. There is a current rise of anti-immigration with racism following
Here is an article about racism in ireland talking about his death
Here is an instagram post with the information
and here is a dedicated instagram page for a campaign for Yves Sakila, currently it has organised a march back in may and is seeking justice (Warning a lot of racist people have commented on the posts, justifying or undermining his death and instagram always puts controversial comments first so be prepared if you decide to read the comments)
https://www.instagram.com/justiceforyvessakilacampaign/
and this is the email set up for that campaign:
I hope the security guards are arrested and he can get justice, no one should die because of shoplifting.
(let me know if the links aren't working they are saying incomplete links)

Me personally, I still consider that policing (just private policing instead of state), but I understand and I will be more specific in the future because that is a different group of people. Thank you for the clarification!
Hello CBC!! Firstly just wanted to say I really appreciate your blog and, as a librarian, especially love your recommendations and reading lessons. I wanted to ask if you’ve heard of a newer book called “When Trees Testify” by Beronda L. Montgomery, a plant biologist from Arkansas. It’s part memoir, and part scientific/cultural analysis of trees and how intertwined Black history is with them. Wonderfully written and very informative!

How the Word Is Passed meets Braiding Sweetgrass in a cultural and personal reclamation of Black ...
Ahhh I haven't!! This is dope, thank you for sharing!
It's pride month, fen, yknow what that means......... (/ref)

Happy Pride: LtGBtK was banned in Russia for its LGBTQ+ characters
I'm so sorry.
I'm heartbroken to announce that Valve removed LtGBtK from the Russian Steam Store, as requested by Roskomnadzor—the censorhip body on Russian—without any previous communication with me. I received an e-mail telling me about the removal and that was it, no chance to appeal.
If you're in Russia and can't find my game on Steam, that's why. I'm not sure what's the situation on Itch right now for you, but I think it's not any better.
My game is all about community—and finding the strength to go through shitty moments with the people who love you... so it's especially hurtful to remember that there are so many members of our community going through so much shit right now.
In Russia, in Brazil, in the states, in Saudi Arabia, all across the world.
I'm sadder for the queer community (all around, but specifically in Russia this time) than for my game, and I'm even more sad that this happened SO CLOSE to Pride.
Also, I was not the only one. I've been through the same thing as the devs behind Flick Solitaire, for instance. You can read about their full experience here.
What now?
Now, I'll follow the wisdom of the Flick Solitaire devs. I'll release a mobile version of my game on Play Store/Apple Store and hope that they won't blindly allow the censorship of LGBTQ+ content. It might still take me a few days/weeks cause there's some work to do, but I'll do my best to finish it as soon as possible.
And for PRIDE...
I'd like to remind you that I am queer, and I am PROUD of it; I SEE you, and that's why I'm always doing my best to create stories and spaces in which everyone can BE and BE LOVED for who they really are.
I know it's only a small thing, but I won't stop, and I'll do my best to make sure my stories can be a place of comfort and acceptance for us.
With Pride so close, I want to use this opportunity to remind you all that there's still much we need to do for our community across the globe.
So, if you want, please share a local org that helps queer people in your country/city, so we all can spread the word and help if we can!!! ❤️✨
I'll start with two orgs in Brazil and one in Spain that do a beautiful work for the community and that could definitely use the help:
Casa Florescer, in São Paulo (only accepts donation through the Brazilian app PicPay) - Shelters Trans People in São Paulo and offers not only a place to sleep, but also therapy and workshops.
Casa Flores, also in São Paulo - to help people who are in a place of social/judicial vulnerability, including LGBTQ+ people
Fundación Triángulo - an NGO acting all across Spain to promote equality and protect the LGBTQ+ community
If you feel like it, please share yours too, and I'll make sure to update this post and add them to the list. ♥
And don't forget the companies that allowed them to hurt us... but don't despair.
Cause every time they try to erase us, we'll grow stronger together. :))))
Big hugs,
Ligia
Happy pride month ^^
I think this might already be known but around April a Black Asexual, Ashabi (creator of Ace in Grace) (she/they), proposed a new Asexual flag. I think it would be nice to show them some support.
Here's links to the meaning of the flag: https://aceingrace.substack.com/p/new-asexuality-flag-final-updates
https://aceingrace.substack.com/p/its-international-asexuality-day (< this includes the meaning of the old flag and the reason she felt it needed some changes + an older design of their proposed flag)
Here's a link to her Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_aceingrace_?igsh=dTdqMGZtMzI0MWxs
We've reached the finish line; Here's the Final Design!
Thank you for sharing!
So I have no grounds to speak on the validity of anything involving a community I'm not in.
HOWEVER- White asexuals saying "that's not my flag" aye yo lmao that's right out of the white supremacist quote playbook. "That's not my ____" when someone of color comes up with or is something that used to be centered on Whiteness... Bad look folks.
New Chapter Released!
Hello again! Hope the spring has been pleasant for you 🌷
With this update we're continuing the pilgrimage, which is turning out more dangerous than even the Crown and their companions anticipated:
The Crown will be revisiting an old place they had forgotten about, and learn more about the scars left on the land from the reigns of Crowns past
Whether you brought the water spirits with you or whether Eshkar is also there or not will give you additional variations and, depending on one choice you make this chapter, may lead to someone getting hurt
There will be more lore on the religious practices of Arsur, and an opportunity to customize your Crown's religious beliefs as well
A dangerous encounter shakes things up this chapter--is it a test of the spirits, or just bad luck? Either way, how your Crown handles this situation will not go unnoticed!
And last but not least, romance scenes with your chosen love interest, though the tone of these will be quite different considering the previous encounter...
Thank you for all your patience and support, I hope you enjoy the new chapter as summer approaches 💖
For those that are unfamiliar with the game
A Tale of Crowns is a high fantasy romance story, told in the form of a text-based interactive novel with choice mechanics. The setting is inspired by Kurdish culture as well as other historical settings in the Middle East such as Ancient Persia, but it also draws heavily from other cultures and countries in the region.
Your character is native to Arsur, a vast empire overseen by a single ruler known as the Crown. Unlike traditional monarchies, however, the title is not inherited through blood. Whenever the Crown dies, their famed golden eyes pass on to the one chosen by the Spirits of this world to be the new Crown. In this story, your MC takes on that role.
There are four different love interests to choose from, whose genders will be customized to suit the preferences of your Crown. You can find more info about them on the blog page!
Also note that this current version of the game is safe for those 16 years and older.
Like the premise so far? Play it and give it a try! The entire game is free!
If you enjoyed the game, please reblog! Share it with your friends! Recognition and reader interaction is just about the only thing I get in return for creating it ❤️
Insane reaction image potential

gay ever since he was born
would you like....my sapphic flutterby , she name is Zahra, and she's a mourning cloak (flutterby species)
she's blasian, coming from sudanese and japanese backgrounds, who struggles with also being an immigrant, since her family already being mixed decidedly dipped into a tertiary place.
she's -technically- multilingual, but struggles to speak because it scares her.
(i have a whole sheet of her hairstyles but they're old. even this one's kinda old but i like this one the most)
if you wanna throw any input in, please do <33
AHHHH I love her!!
