hey uhh, other white dolls out there? you have to start fucking listening to black trans women. and not pithy shit like half reading and then liking their posts on social media, i mean actually hearing them out when they are framed as being in the wrong in any given conflict. im so serious you are going to get black girls socially murdered if you don’t start listening to her side of the story instead of just taking what non-black trans women say about black trans women at face value
this is coming on the heels of watching a former irl (noticeably, uncomfortably white) transfem community i used to be a part of turn on and viciously expel a black trans girl i am close with after she got into a fight, which occurred after a concerted effort from popular members of the community to isolate and bully her for calling out anti-blackness. out of respect for her wish to be done with this whole fiasco and for her privacy, im not going to get into very much detail, but there is so much more rotten, horrifically racist shit that i am leaving out so this doesn’t get come back to her and she can be left in peace. there was one thing i found particularly noteworthy and sickeningly ironic though. i watched this group of entirely non-black transfems employ every transmisogynist tactic in the book to justify this girl’s expulsion from her support system, from spurious allegations of sexual assault to painting her as crazy to whisper campaigns. i saw white trans women close rank, pick up the weapons of our oppressors, and use them to silence and attempt to socially murder a black trans woman for refusing to let racism slide. and none of this is like. novel, or unheard of, if you’ve paid any attention to anything black trans women have been saying for years. but seeing it happen first hand, in a community i was once a part of, is so disgusting and disappointing and a stark reminder of what black transfems have been telling us all along. if youre a white transfem and you are not conscious, if you are not challenging your gut reactions and biases, if you are not listening to her for gods fucking sake, you are going to side with white supremacy at the expense of your black sisters every. fucking. time.
As a African-American and Indian trans woman, I'll happily say that when dealing with racism. I'd prefer it to be an old white man with a trump hat, Confederate flag, or even shit like the Balkenkreuz on them.
Why?
Because it's so fuckin easy to tell what's about to happen, when, how, and why. Grew up my whole life being taught how to act around these people not to upset them or make for a fight I wasn't ready to take. I carry a gun on my hip, and have a strong personality now. But I still know how to not cause an incident in a fucking grocery store. This is explicit racism and it's easy to see, learn, and prep for. I've had people follow me around stores, ask if I'd stolen my car, tell me not to buy fuel at their gas station, all pre-transition. Now? I've been told I make my entire personality "being black" by white trans femmes, been told "all you care to talk about is politics," by white trans femmes. Had them harass my family trying to find out what happened to me when I ditched the group they were in for somewhere better.
White people in general also have a 'subtle' form of racism that allows for plausible deniability of the words and actions being racist in nature called implicit racism because it's not "consciously done" in nature, it's an internal bias that functions on the subconscious level making it even more insidious. These usually take form in micro aggressions and other such behaviors where one doesn't really think about what they said or did, nor how it was offensive and bigoted in nature. It's only subtle to them and then alone! Any other socially conscious person will see it. But for all of the countless people who think racism died in the US in 1964, they don't see implicit racism and stereotypes, micro aggressive actions and statements, are all met with the wall of "it's a joke," "we're just kidding," "no one actually believes those things," "can't you just laugh," and so many other dumb fucking excuses for why we should just let racism pass.
"I can excuse racism, but I draw the line at animal cruelty."
There are actually a fuck load of people who legitimately act and behave like this.
If you think you're not a racist, I want you to stop and think every time you speak to a BIPOC and really check yourself to see if you're about to say something that's rooted in prejudice and socially conditioned thought. Because I get pissed when I hear the stories of other POC trans folks and how white folks in our own damn community treat us!!
We're not your gods, goddess, deities, kings, queens, monarchs, or any of that annoying shit that disingenuous white queers will call us to feign support. "It's giving strong black goddess!" No! It's giving, I wanna look cute now let's try and treat me like a fucking person.
Since it happened to me, I’ve met literally dozens of trans women that told me their stories, who have had some variation of Hot Allostatic Load happen to them and thought that they were some kind of unique monster.
In comparing these stories, Black trans women have it consistently the worst and are often subject to higher penalties for less severe “offenses”, especially once colorism is in play. For me, a lightskinned Black trans woman, I was driven out because I was working to desegregate the local queer scene because in a 50% Black city most free events were 70% or more white. I managed to save my ex, a darkskinned Black trans woman, from similar except she hadn’t done anything but be the object of affection for a white trans woman and another white trans woman was jealous.
Even ostensibly “leftist” white spaces, even marginalized whites, will put white solidarity and the general upholding of white supremacy before liberation because what they want is not total liberation, but to live with the same privileges as non-marginalized whites over non-whites. They want the space of the oppressor, not freedom, not liberation. This is why they will mercilessly destroy those who seek to upset this order in a way that won’t allow them to reach their goal and then ask for passive patience for the rest of us. Non-Blacks often will do the exact same in the hopes they’ll achieve their group liberation while still staying in what they believe is their rightful place above Black people.
A queer liberation, a trans liberation, without Black liberation, is just shifting the orders of oppression. Replicating and wielding the tools of white supremacy just because it’s easy, or it’s beneficial to you, is not acceptable if we want to actually liberate ourselves. We cannot truly be free in a world which maintains the structures that enable this oppression. This is why we must abolish white supremacy, abolish whiteness, abolish patriarchy.
This could be a literal peak, but please, for the love of God, be animated
Live action was outlined as a possibility, but it takes a two second look into the comment section of ANY Apex launch trailer or Outlands short to see that the demand for an animated series has always been here and continues to be something fans want.
i should be allowed to kill anyone who uses ‘total death’ in a fandom context like idk maybe look up what youre saying before parroting everything.
A final signal. Gaza is completely cut off from the world—no internet, no connection—and Israel is blocking every attempt to reconnect, targeting anyone who tries. Now Iran is being bombed and the region stands on the brink of explosion while we remain trapped in deadly silence. If this message reaches you, it may be our last chance. Help us secure a safe home and education for our children❤️🩹 Don’t let Gaza disappear in silence.
I am risking my life and the lives of my children just to use an eSIM and tell you what’s happening in Gaza. Please don’t hesitate to share this and donate if you can. The situation here is terrifying.

"now you're part of the found family" but as horror. discuss
imagine just wanting to be friends, but they start subtly treating you like you were their child, and it's nice at first, but as time goes on it starts feeling patronizing and smothering, like you're not an adult.
imagine being a woman and finding yourself slowly turning into the caretaker of people your age or even older without really realizing until you can't leave because what would they do without you?
imagine hanging around some people you would barely call "friends", much less "family", but since you have nowhere else to go, you stay, lulled by security, and at some point it dawns on you: you're their pet.
are you disabled?
yes
no
maybe, but I don't know if it "counts"
Anyone who is committed to solidarity with disabled, chronically ill, and traumatized people:
Fadel ( @fadel-dani ) is in his early 20s. He's chronically ill with thalassemia, a blood disorder. The price of the medicine is too high to afford, and struggles with fainting.
He and his family have been displaced multiple times in the genocide. When his family returned to their home, bombs were dropped on them, destroying his childhood home.
Fadel woke up in a hospital and learned that, while unconscious, he had undergone surgery to remove metal shrapnel that had become lodged in his body in the bombing. Because of the extreme danger and the collapse of the health system, some of the pieces could not removed at their location.
The doctor assessed his health and told his family that he needs to receive treatment in another country as soon as possible. Obviously, doing so safely requires coordination and funds for both travel and the surgical fees once they get to a hospital. He has been living in a tent and trying to raise funds since then.
His campaign is vetted by: @gazavetters list (#197) and @90-ghost and @a-shade-of-blue
After fundraising for over 300 days, he had raised €14,500 (almost 50% of the €30,000 he needs). Then April 25, GoFundMe deleted his fundraiser with no warning or clear explanation. He contacted GoFundMe's technical support, but they ignored him and didn't respond.
He has had to restart all over again with a new fundraiser. So far only €3,522 donations have come in, a mere 12% of what he needs.
(All donations were returned to their donors, so if you previously donated, please return that money to him!)
He is still suffering the physical and psychological pain of feeling shrapnel from the Israeli bombing that destroyed his childhood home embedded in his body.
He is badly injured from a bombing, leaving him with fragments of metal in his body. He is in need of urgent surgery to remove them. He struggles with constant pain from this.
He has PTSD from repeated severe trauma, including the bombing of his childhood home while he was inside which left him with the fragments in his body. There is bombing around him, and he fears for his life constantly.
He is starving. Genocidal famine is being forced on him, his family, and many other families in Gaza.
If you have ever reblogged anything about chronic illness, disability, inaccessibility of healthcare, trauma, or food insecurity, recognize your commonality and solidarity with him.
Please donate anything you can.

talk about “gross” disabilities. talk about stomach pain. talk about incontinence. talk about hyperemesis. talk about people who use diapers. if your disability activism doesn’t include disabilities you can’t make aesthetic then it isn’t true activism.
I love when people are like:
Election season is a scary time in Canada, so here are some things to remember!
if you don't vote liberal you're a bad person
our far right isn't as bad as the usamerican far right
don't listen to Indigenous voices unless they support the whiter wider cultural narrative
activism is meaningless unless you vote for the "lesser" evil
canada's overseas activities and impacts don't matter
never vote for a person of colour, they would never win anyway
don't interrogate your own biases
most importantly, have fun and be yourself! as long as that means being white and upholding the colonial system of governance
It's interesting to me the reaction some people have to the word "settler". Like. I've seen responses ranged from "oh I never thought about that" to "how dare you insult me".
White Canadians, Americans, etc. you really need to get better used to that word. You are a settler. If you want to be taken seriously as an ally to Indigenous peoples, literally the barest minimum place to start is by realizing that.
