I’m realizing at some point in the last few years all of a sudden I stopped getting invitations to things and was no longer prioritized as a main friend that you keep in contact with. I’d really love and appreciate friends that want to be in my space for a moment in time and enjoy my presence.

After high school between social media and college I got exposed to the world so much that I started to turn into someone God never intended for me to be. Sexualized, drunken, lacking self control, lacking awareness and just wisdom. I see now that I’ve been allowing God to wash me I realized when I am not on social media or hear mainstream music how I got there so fast. The culture is perverse. The way we talk and interact is perverse. We are encouraged to explore without true guidance or limitations. I wish I would have had God fearing and loving mentors in my life discipling me at the time but I believe God needed me to go through certain things and make certain decisions so that He could truly save me for himself and so that at the end of the day He received the glory for the work that was done in me and whatever He will do through me.

I didn’t grow up on rap/hip hop, I was raised on love and 90’s r&b so the only artists I enjoy from that genre are ones that sounds like poetry. When the lyrics paint a picture that I can vibe to. When the flow feels like the artist is speaking to me trying to get me to understand what they are feeling like it’s my personal melody. Certain songs can catch my attention because the beat makes me dance but captivating my mind and making me want to listen oh that is what I command. Feed my mind, feed my soul, help me flourish, help me grow. Help me to read you like a book my fingers interested in turning every page. Can you make me look with what you say?
