Scanlan where the hell are you, your girl pike needs you

Pike's clearly gutted about not having seen him in particular, and now she's freshly grieving the man who raised her and the way for her to stop the cult responsible for his death is to get Mythcarver.

Scanlan, on the other hand, will probably feel as if the group only wants anything to do with him because of what they can get out of him, AKA "You like me because I make jokes, and I play songs, and I give you a warm place to stay at night, and I feed you fucking chicken, and I heal you in battle. But you don't really care about me."

I think a lot of conflict is going to come out of Scanlan's insecurities getting the best of him, but Pike in particular is going to be absolutely central to the group conflict. The two are clearly in love, and their next meeting will have them both in emotional states that elevate each other.

And if i'm seeing what TLOVM is putting down, it could also kickstart Scanlan's 'OH SHIT I HAVE TO APOLOGIZE" arc that happens after bards lament

Listen I might have my Pikelan goggles for this but I do really love how Pike is the most well-crafted of the puppets compared to everyone else.
