i will never understand the 180 people had on mapleshade lying about her kits father after it was revealed that frecklewish had gone to the Dark Forest because I have never seen a book so blatantly show it was the right choice. Look at Bluestar and Leafpool and what became of their lives and their loved ones when the lie was revealed (Tigerclan, societal shame) and see how Mapleshade’s entire life turns on her from Frecklewish physically attacking her, dehumanizing her children, and then to being humiliated by her former mate and a foreign clan she had never thought negatively of… and i’m supposed to care that a grieving woman got lied to? the idea that mapleshade was doing anything wrong by breaking the law is just redundant and everyone now sympathizes with a grown women’s temper tantrum is just absurd to me

so many conversations regarding bramblestar would become obsolete if people actually read the books
