YESSSSSS. There are some girls I just cannot see being mean girls and Himeko is one of them. I imagine that Kafka in particular is also your stereotypical bad girl. She drives a motorbike, skips class, does whatever she wants. She is the total opposite of Himeko so it makes sense that these two would be rivals. When Himeko catches Kafka picking on you, she swings on over to protect you with no hesitation, looking like a stereotypical Prince Charming that has you fawning over her faster than Kafka’s…methods.

This grown ass woman doesn’t seem to realize that bullying the girl she likes isn’t gonna magically make her like you. She can only watch in envy as Himeko seems to be your new “crush” now. How you tail along behind her and look at her with such starry eyes. I think seeing how easily Himeko has you wrapped around her finger would get Kafka to realize the error in her ways. She starts becoming a lot softer, trying not to tease you so much…

Kafka watches Himeko put her jacket over your shoulder for example, and then the next time you and Kafka meet, she does the exact same thing (although more uncaringly). She isn’t as sweet as Himeko when it comes to checking up on you, but you can tell under her mysterious and rough exterior, she is trying to show she cares. She’s trying to change.
