They revealed their age this time, but the assumption for an adult space is that the other people there are fellow adults. Had tge minor not revealed their age, the adult has no reason to believe they are underage. That adult man can be charged if he sends or receives any suggestive pictures or flirts with this minor and is reported (like a parent looking through the minor’s phone).

Let’s be clear: the law is very black and white on these kinds of things. They do not care about context. They care that one person was a minor and something sexual was said or done. Lying about age? A fake ID? (In some countries, literally drugged and raped by a minor?) Courts dont care. The adult can easily be charged and the minor treated exclusively as a victim.

Yes, it IS on minors (and their gaurdians) to keep minors out of adult spaces. If a minor sneaks into a night club with a fake ID, that is the fault of the minor (and their gaurdians). If a child sneaks into a strip club by lying about their age (again, with proof, since these places ask), it is the minir’s fault. If a minor downloads a dating app that EXPLICITELY states that it is for ages 18+, it is not the fault of the app creators or those who speak to the minor on the app. It is the fault of the minor and their gaurdian(s). It isnt “victim blaming” when a minor lies about their age to an adult. Because in said scenario, the minor is not the victim.

Minors are not a collective innocence. Theyre individuals. Minors are not these polite and fragile 8 year olds that you see them to be. The ones we are talking about (clearly) are teenagers. Teens, who are about the most stereotyped for getting into trouble using lies. Teens, who are perhaps most stereotyped for being curious about “forbidden” things. Teens, who lie about their age for a number of reasons to get what they want.

PLENTY of adults look like minors. But if you see someone who looks young drinking at a bar, or at a nightclub, adult spaces, it is perfectly reasonable to assume they are adults. They are in an adult space.

The is Dwayne, “The Rock” Johnson at age 15. He looks like an adult. And dont pretend he doesnt. He full on admitted that people frequently mistook him for an adult as a teen. PLENTY of minors look like legal adults. If you saw 15 year old Dwayne at a bar, it would be perfectly understandable to assume him to be an adult. Anyone under the possible age of 30 could in fact be a minor. For many people, you really cant tell. You have to trust them to be honest.

The most an adult can do is ask to make sure. Maybe even ask for an ID. And in both cases, the minor can trick the adult. They can lie. They can get a fake ID. They can get a friend to back up their story. It happens all the time.

Our laws on this are severely outdated on this due to infantizing manipulative teens. We treat the victims like criminals and vice-versa.

So anyway, all an adult can do is trust the other person when they state their age. Leave if they say theyre a minor and stay if they say theyre an adult. People lie. Teens are people (they arguably lie more than any other group, studies show.). If a teen enters an adult space and/or lies about their age to trick someone into treating them like an adult, the minor is not the victim. The. Minor. Is. Not. The. Victim.

I get that you see anyone under 18 as collectively innocent, but they arent. Many teens commit crimes. Many lie, manipulate, and trick people. Teens can even be jailed. Teens lie about their age for sex. That’s the world. Teens arent innocent merely for being under 18.

I feel like I’ve told this story a few times on here but the long and short of it is...I was playing an MMO, joined an ADULTS ONLY guild which was very clear and had set rules about it’s age restrictions. We asked for a team speak call (because skype wasn’t yet a thing) to try and prove you were an adult. It’s really all we had outside of someone e-mailing us a picture of their ID. And a girl snuck her way in by lying at every turn. 

She seems really mature for her age. Had a whole lie of a life set up. Which apartment she lived at, her part time job, what college she was going to and what classes. Everyone really believed she was a college student in her early 20s. She lied for like 2 years and since we were an RP group a few of us....kinda ERPed with her in all sorts of ways. We assumed and were told countless times that she was an adult in her 20s. 

Turns out she was 15 at the time....only 17 when we found out. We only caught her because once skype came around and we all got on a call together her MOM came in her room and told her dinner was ready. She had lied and said she lived alone in an apartment by her college....kinda opened the flood gates to a whole lotta lies. Our guild leader demanded to speak to her mother or she would just be booted right then and there after another string of ‘oh I had to move back home’ lies....her mom sat down and told us the whole truth and of course she was booted and blocked by all of us. 

Still, a 15 year old managed to wiggle her way into an adults only space after the adults used everything in their power to check countless times what her age was. She used that lie to get adults into sexual conversations and role plays with her and only stopped because she got caught. I believe she was pursuing a long distance relationship with one of our guild members and if I remember correctly it was even more fucked because she sent him nudes......he was in possession of what legally counted as child porn because she lied and said she was 20 something. She entrapped someone in a sexual relationship with a lie that could have landed him in jail. 

So no...it’s not always the ‘adults’ fault. kids will lie constantly to get into spaces they shouldn’t be in and keep lying to stay there. How is it an adults fault for checking and being lied to? As someone who looks like 16 even in my 30s I can say I would hate to be barred from adult spaces just because of the way I LOOK even if I have proper ID....which has happened to me before. 

There is a character named Rebecca who fights in a gladiator ring. Without getting to much into her whole story or the fights themselves but shes a good fighter. She gets oggled by all the other men in the ring because of the way she’s dressed but REALLY she’s literally dressed the same way they are. 

All the men wear loincloths and capes. There is a weight limit to the gear you can bring into the ring so the less clothing you have the bigger your weapon and she carries a MASSIVE sword. If anything she is MORE covered since she’s wearing anything on her chest at all. She’s attractive and that’s the problem. There is another female fighter named Acilia who is a massive woman with big shoulders and next to no neck...she’s not very attractive but she wears a bikini and some shoulder armor. No one cares about her what so ever...

In anime like MHA characters like Kiri or Bakugo will run around shirtless and fan girls will scream and lose it when they get all sweaty and roughed up. But a character like Momo is on screen for two seconds and people lose their minds. Even characters of any age, if it’s a man its 100% okay for people (mostly female fans) to gush over them. Hell the whole community of fujoshi’s is just mashing two got guys together for the female gaze, and you can make a case that that alone is sexualizing's and fetishizing gay men......but we won’t do there....today. 

My experience with university graduates, and the humanities department, has me doubt this statement….

Just because women have to deal with these issues, that does not mean that we should downplay those same issues happening to men.

You personally not knowing any men who have had to go through this does not mean that men have not had to go through this.

A large chunk of the time the person who may be making you feel uncomfortable isn’t trying to do so or even aware of it. They may be on the spectrum. While that isn’t an EXCUSE for the behavior it’s a very understandable reason. And conventions of all types will often attract people with sever social disorders that don’t really understand what they are doing isn’t socially acceptable. 

This just literally happened to me with my boyfriend right there in the GROCERY store. I had a MHA backpack on and a young guy around like 17-18 came up to me and just started talking about anime. He didn’t introduce himself, didn’t say anything, just started going on about Naruto. He followed us around for like 10 mins even through we were clearly just trying to shop, social distance and be left alone, but he didn’t understand any of our social ques and just kept trailing us. It wasn’t until his mom literally called him to say she was in the parking lot that he stopped. Turns out he works there during nights to stock shelves, he is very much on the spectrum and normally dosn’t talk to anyone but got excited by my backpack and couldn’t control himself. His coworker apologized to us and explained after he left when we were checking out.

This happens all the time at conventions. It happens in my local card shops to, and not just men doing it. A lot of WOMEN will. As above said...women got VIOLENT with yaoi paddles and literally shattered someone’s hip at one point. Glomping was a real issue and my friend nearly had his leg broken by a woman who had no business jumping on people, who took a running start and landed on his back without him knowing. She then followed us around the convention until she was stopped by staff.

I would honestly say at least 70% of these cases are people not understanding social ques and creeping people out by their odd obsessive behavior but being labeled as dangerous because they just don’t understand what they are doing wrong. Looking back I felt bad for being creeped out by that guy. He was just excited about a thing he liked, he had no idea he was being weird and just wanted to talk about it with someone. While I’m allowed to feel uncomfortable I should have also understood the situation and handled it differently. 

Roughly half of the population can use a unique type of magic from birth. Everyone is aware of this phenomenon. However, if any non-magical being catches you actually using your magic, the magic user loses their ability forever and become a non-magical being. This includes being caught on camera. No one knows why, but it is an absolute rule.

I was a big Harry Potter fan but after the books died down I switched over to Xmen. I have some weird ones too like Predators or specifically the horrible Xmen movies. Never really got putting all your ducks into one row. 

A farmer farmed enough apples to feed all of humanity, but he’s only in one place so he needs to ship those apples around the world that means he needs to process them which costs him money, he needs to hire the workers to pick and process the money, he needs to buy the land, machines and buildings to do all this in. He then needs to pack all these apples or hire someone to do all that for him, he / they need to ship the processed and packaged apples so he / they need to buy the trucks and hire the drivers to get them all around the world. He needs to do this all while making apples affordable for those who can buy them but also cheap enough for him to do all this work to give it away for free to those who can’t. The second part is the snag....it’s not really possible. While the farmer could easily give up about 30% of his apples to the poor because he might assume otherwise they would just get tossed, but he also needs to pay out of pocket HIMSELF to process, package and ship those apples so it’s not really ‘free’.....but tossing them out IS free. He loses the same amount of apples to rot as he would giving them away but in one case he needs to PAY. 

There is no magic fund for free food. While we MAKE it we have no way to distribute it to those who need it most. It’s not like it used to be were the farmer lives a few miles out of town and on weekends would come and sell his crops and toss any leftovers at the end of the day to the local poor house on his way home. 

Its the same issue for everything. Literally everything. I could personally groom every single dog in my area, BUT I would need to hire the staff, buy / rent the space and buy the tools and supplies for that many dogs so thats reflected in the price of each groom. I can’t just do shit for cheap or free because I loose money personally and now I’M going hungry. The people effected by this sort of thing are always the bottom rung. The store owners don’t care what the farmer does as long as he has enough apples to sell THEM. And they won’t give away leftovers because they have the same problem. 

I think that it’s extremely suspicious that the combination of Nevada, Michigan and Wisconsin, the three states Biden is edging out in or very close to, would total exactly 270 votes.

Frankly, between the Republicans and Democrats, I’d be more willing to bet it’s the Dems who would attempt to cheat the system.  Apparently Trump was winning by a significant margin in Wisconsin, only for Biden to get a landslide that took over into the winning margin.

Like that’s a thing they said they were going to do. In PA for example (where I am from) we have to report our political side when registering to vote which means the state already KNEW who was heavily voting by mail VS in person same day voting. They KNEW dems were mostly voting by mail and set out to slow down if not halt the process in heavily blue suburban and center city areas to give Trump a visual lead on election night, so when the mail in votes started to be counted and SUDDENLY Biden starts sprinting to catch up (since most of his votes came via mail in my state) it looks SUPER FISHY. They planned this, your reaction is EXACTLY what they wanted and EXACTLY what they need to built a case. The delay was literally to buy time for Trump and his lawyers to build a ‘case’ for a recount or to throw out millions of blue votes. 

Don’t believe me? Well 5/7 of my coworkers who did mail in votes have been tracking them......5 out of 7 were rejected for bullshit reasons. They made the rules SO tight to try and throw out as many votes as possible. Tiny things like your signature isn’t EXACT to the one you have on file, the one you wrote when you were like 16 for your drivers license? Yeah rejected. You have no way of CHECKING your old signature and if this is your first time voting you wouldn’t know you needed to remember such a thing. If you are tracking it you can call in and sort the whole thing out over the phone which all 5 coworkers did but it’s so common for votes in PA to be rejected that neighborhood facebook pages are putting up tutorials on how to track and fix the issues in mostly blue areas. 

But again, your reaction to the ‘suspicious’ behavior around the polls was rigged so you would feel exactly that. “Biden was super behind that’s so WEIRD that he’s suddenly pulling ahead.....HMMMMMMMMMM’ yea...because MILLIONS of votes in PA were not counted yet. Millions that were marked as democrats BEFORE being opened. I’m not saying both sides arn’t just the WORST but living in PA and watching it go down is a fucking joke. 

Jean and Scotts whole relationship. Outta the blue more or less, hinted in Apoc but then suddenly they are just a super solid couple. I’ll buy it but we get about maybe…..4 lines of them talking to each other? They make a big deal about them for a bit there with the whole ‘you said you would always come back to me’…but then she dosn’t? It’s not even Scott that does really anything for Jean in the end he’s just there to yell her name a bunch. 

QuickSilver: Three whole damn movies about his daddy issues and they don’t even have a SINGLE SCENE together. He’s just yeeted from the movie after the first fight and we literally never see him until the end sorta? Could they not afford the actor for more than two days? But three movies of him finding out Magneto is his dad, coming to terms with it in the next movie and getting ready to confront him then third movie, should be the big confrontation annnddddddd, *fart nosie*

NightCrawler: They didn’t do really much of anything with Kurt and it’s a shame because this is prolly one of my fav versions of him. Sweet religious boy who’s more afraid of fighting, better at running away. They do pepper in little scenes of him being FORCED to fight and really not super into it. The cage match scene were he stops running and fights back only to apologize for defending himself, running around the base being spooked by the dead bodies and blood everywhere. Having a goofy one liner again Warren when he at last traps him (but dosn’t kill him), then in DP he dosn’t wanna fight Jean and tries to plead with her. He dosn’t fight in the street but acts as a taxi for everyone getting jerked around and spooked before a breaking point on the train were he snaps after someone died trying to protect him while he just cowered in the corner. THAT’S GOOD…..but it’s not really developed. He has maybe 5 lines of dialog in the whole movie and suffers greatly from a lot of tiny glances of character with a huge left field swing where he straight up murders people on a rampage. But it’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment that isn’t REALLY out of character after two movies of being a shy run away boy. But….blink and you really will miss it. Feels like they really wanted high fight scene to be this ‘OMG’ moment with him making all these demonic faces and snarling at the enemy before murdering them….but eh, 

Charles: Good…fucking god it’s like he didn’t have 4 movies to develop into a character who wouldn’t suddenly become super narcissistic and shitty. He keeps learning the SAME LESSON over and over and over and over. Listen to your friends, you don’t have all the answers, work as a team, believe in each other. Care! But suddenly NOPE he likes photo shoots more than characters he’s said are like his literal children. He puts them at risk because once again he thinks HE knows better and will always know better and refuses to listen to anyone else. 

Raven: She’s so…hit or miss for me every single movie. She’s often written as a really REALLY dumb character who even when told flat out ‘if you do this it will destroy our kind in mass murder later on’ will respond with ‘oh wellllll gonna do it!’ but she’s way to flip flop to really have any kind of development to follow. She’s good then she’s bad then she’s good again…then bad again. She cares about the kids, she dosn’t care about the kids, suddenly she cares SO MUCH they are a family but she’s ready to up and leave them in the next scene. Goes on and on about not wanting to be a hero but….is a super hero. 

Hank: He’s a character we don’t get a lot on most of the time. They try and make him important but he’s 180 into ‘I’m gonna murder a child I help raise’ was such a whip lash moment. Hanks been at the school since it started….he raised Jean, watched her grow up…and he is so READY to murder her even if it’s clear she can’t control her powers and she didn’t mean to kill Raven. All it takes for him to stop is ‘it’s not what Raven would have wanted’ and SUDDENLY BOOM it’s like he’s snapped out of his murder daze and is super okay now! There isn’t any time for him to swap sides or even get his perspective. He even blames Charles for what’s happening to Jean and calls her a little girl CONSTANTLY but none of that applies when he wants to kill her? 

Storm: Such a major character in the later time line is literally background. They give her this weird ‘I don’t trust Jean’ line at the start but it’s suddenly gone two scenes later and she demands to come along to try and bring her home. She’s another one were it feels like scenes are missing. Conversations were she see’s Jean acting funny and has her doubts but then a few more were she remembers what good friends they are and why it’s important to help each other. 

Magneto: Stop I’m mad. We watch this man gain and lose family almost every single movie. First Class he gains the x-men and loses them only to gain the baddies as a start up group…loses them in DOFP horribly then gains the X-men again, loses them in APOC but gains a real family with a wife and daughter but wops lost them then tries to join APOC only to be turned on him and round back to the x-men and is SO CLOSE to gaining a son. Then DP, he has Genosha which is just starting up and getting somewhere…loses that it seems and joins the X-men at the very end again only to piddle off somewhere which zero to do with Peter and eh I guess he didn’t really NEED a family. Not like literally every single second he’s on screen that’s his whole character. Losing and gaining family members. It’s FINE, EVERTHING IS FINE. 

I love the X-Men. I also really love the movies. Even the newer ones. A small part of me wants them to be good SO BAD and scrambles to find even a shred of decency in them and I found that with their versions of the characters. They are SO GOOD and engaging even if you love to hate them but the stories they are written in, the shit they do is just SO BAD. 

Also, it sure is funny how SJWs imply benefiting women will automatically benefit men, but regularly oppose people who try to help men without adhering to mainstream feminist dogma.

I watched a TikTok recently of some comic book shop that had apparently created a ‘safe space’ for female ‘nerds’ and this entailed just removing all sketchy lewd content. Refusing to carry some titles because of their ‘depictions of women’ and catered their table top games in favor of women (IE creating women only nights or changing rules around and home brewing super feminist driven campaigns) 

I decided to call him out on that and told him that hand holding women who claim to enjoy the same content men did but censoring said content in favor of one group wasn’t helping anyone. It was the whole REASON there was issues in our groups in the first place as one side was acting in bad faith and claiming to love things they really didn’t care for. I also noticed that this shop did in fact....carry Yaoi manga. So it was 110% okay for them to carry porn-o written by women FOR women of male bodies but not okay to carry like Lady Death comics because it was ‘sexist’....

We see this a LOT in anime like Cheshire said. In the west female ‘fans’ will sexualize anything that’s hot to THEM. There are some really popular female voice actors now who are SUPER GROSSLY talented (I can no stress how much I respect these people there is nothing wrong with that they do) who made it their job to do lewd ‘reader insert’ voice overs that are sometimes hour long vocal porn..and I mean that literally. Dubbing male characters from say MHA into sex scenes that the listener can pretend to interact with.....but lewd artists on twitter are reported by these same women who consume those types of things. They same characters in shows and manga for having tig’ol’biddies and literally nothing else. 

None of these people really like the WHOLE of these communities. They like their tiny pockets and demand the rest of us step in line, remove the shit they don’t like and never create anything that strays away from their preferred content. Men be damed. In all of my random nerdy communities I have zero issues. I let guys like what they like and even if I personally don’t like it I sit down, shut up and enjoy my side of things. I let people have their own fun just as they let me, we coexsist and have a good time together and I’ve never ONCE been bullied out of a group for having a vagina.
