Asexuals were always part of pride and it really fucking shows when people think it's a recent term.
Although not going by the term "asexual" yet, asexuality was spoken about alongside homosexuality as far back as the 1890s. Asexual history is just as vital to queer history as any other term and I'm so tired of watching us being treated like a new thing
This image is so so fucking important to me

Ok, now that we’ve had a week to think about it, here’s another, more S1-ish fix it (as the last one was desperate and had issues…but let’s be honest, so did the “season”.)
this is how it went for me. this is the canon finale to me.
How very depressing that Neil Gaiman had trended not even a tiny bit for demonstrating what a fucking horrific person he is.
As a reminder, he's suing Caroline Wallner, one of his accusers, for breaking her NDA. Not for libel. He's saying she shouldn't have told anyone about it, not that she lied.
The author says Wallner broke her NDA by sharing her story with the media, including with New York Magazine.
He doesn't need the money. He's risking the Streisand effect. He is punishing Caroline, he's trying to intimidate other victims who have signed NDAs to scare them into continued silence.
He is no friend to women, to the LGBTQIA+ community, to anyone quite frankly unless he thinks they are of value to him.
Share the story. Put it on Facebook and bluesky and whatever else you're on. Make it clear what a horrifying person he is. Tell your friends. He's paying Edendale a fortune to try and cover this up. Make this hard for him. Make it cost him money.
oh boy i sure hope the residents aren't gonna be evil for a third time! that would never happen....

I ask spongebob what grilling krabby patties feels like and he says not everything feels like something else
i think it’s really sad how many so-called leftist’s politics are directly informed by their own personal comfort. there are disabled leftists who are fully able to say that their worth as a disabled person is inherent to their worth as a person, that their worth isn’t and never will be tied to their ability to function as abled under capitalism, to perform or conform as according to the standards set by our ableist societies. these very same people can and often do clam up when talking about the social issues addicts face.
i just made a post about harm reduction and i want it to be very clear that this was said because i love addicts. i do not and will not ever buy the lie that an addict’s worth comes from their hypothetical ability to get clean. people who agree with the above sentiment on general disability and not this are fucked up to me! your politics lack coherency and i think i can guess why!
here’s the thing: whenever i think about what i want for the addicts i know and love the ever-nebulously defined concept of sobriety doesn’t even breach the top 10 things i want for them! i want addicts to be safe. i want addicts to be housed. i want addicts to be free, cared for, well. i want their physical and mental wellness. i want them respected. i want them to have autonomy over their lives just as much as i want them to be safeguarded, and i want conversations to be had about the immense nuance of that! i want conversations to be had with them and not just about them! i want them to have access to care!! i want them to have access to every harm reduction measure they could ever yearn for. i want them to be treated with dignity. i want them to be listened to. i want them to be seen. i want you personally to see them, to look them in the eyes. i want addicts to be loved and i want you personally to love them.
i am aware that sobriety is a privilege that often helps afford people the above, but anyone who knows anything about addiction knows that recovery needs to be a choice. a choice that’s made in response to the metaphorical gunpoint that is the inhumane conditions under which severe addiction is criminalised in our society is often not a choice made in earnest!! it can be a motivator, sure, but so can a lot of other things! if you tell a population of homeless addicts that they can not stay the night at your shelter unless they abstain while they’re there then you will you will force some of them to spend that night sleeping rough. now let’s think about the above again. hmmmm…..
i am so exhausted with seeing people unable to engage with addicts in any way other than through their dehumanisation and the persistent pathologisation of their experiences. i understand as well as the next person that drugs and addiction can be triggering, but i actually think everyone needs to think a little harder about if they’re triggered or just uncomfortable. either way this has nothing to do with why you can’t talk to addicts, why you can’t try to understand them and their experiences! “see the person and not the addiction” will never be applicable to every addict, and if you’re buying into that then you are wilfully not looking at the people who’s existences can not be untangled from their addiction. this kills people!! this is killing people, and if these deaths aren’t even registering as a blip on your radar then i think it’s a matter of humanity to ask yourself why.
well put as always oomf!!

Waves - 2D animated short film directed by Jason Raymond. Really sweet coming of age story about a young black boy who learns to love himself and his culture, instead of erasing it/ hiding it from others or being ashamed of who he is.
Hair Love - 2D animated short by Matthew A. Cherry. Heartwarming story about a black father learning to do his daughter’s hair and bonding with one another.
i love how white people are supposed to be graciously forgiven for having a racist past because "they were kids and didn't know any better" but no one gives a flying fuck about the black kids that were subjected to brutal racist bullying during their childhoods. bullying that we're still subject to today because nothing has changed. white people were not being racist to some amorphous, unfeeling entity in some vacuous, isolated section of the internet, they were hurling slurs, racist "jokes"/imagery and antiblackness at REAL ACTUAL CHILDREN while gaslighting and mocking us for being upset, and no one gives a fuck!! we're just supposed to forgive these people who are never sorry and never will be and if not we're the problem and im so sick of it

uhh uhhh new oc just dropped
wow i haven't posted art here in forever... this is my new oc tess he has four arms and works as a barista :3
I hope every single person who puts nice comments in tags under reblogged art knows that you you guys are the backbone of society. Being an artist online sucks these days, but here on tumblr I still get compliments under artworks that I made years ago. I hope you know every WOW and heart emoji and heartfelt compliment and funny comment you left in the tags is part of the reason I kept drawing all these years, in spite of everything that was going on.
I've been screenshotting the nice tags I get for years, and at this point it would be literal thousands of lines if I still had my old files. I love u tumblr users <333333333
This 100% I read as many tags as I can and it's very encouraging!! Sometimes when I have a bad day I look through them again just to cheer myself up haha
