In the spirit of troubadourism, I wrote a poem in medieval occitan to accompany the piece:

Mon ocean, mon tot,  Soi vostre vassal.  Mon amor es amaribot,  Mas non pot ęser accidental. 

Voli ęser lo solelh  Baisán ton orizon.  Voli sentir ton taparęl  En accioṉ de ablucioṉ. 

Pẹnsi a tu mais que acostumal.  Voli ęser ton aydan.  Uṉ amor assairal.  Tenén ta maṉ,  En una dansa de bal. Vẹién ton afiblan.  Sẹns qualque concession, Doner mon leialtat por adjudatio,  Amb ton elucidacioṉ; Causa me transfiguratio. 

Mastrarái quant soi devǫt. Per favor, accepta mon apęl Per jurar pẹr mon mọt Que es mon angel.
