Why, out of all the days in the entire year, why did it have to be on the hottest day that the office’s AC decides to stop working? The tall man’s back palm swiped at his forehead for the tenth time within five minutes – collecting any new sweat formed from the last ten seconds. This was torture. How was he expected to be sitting still at his desk and typing away for Helen when he was being tortured like this? Leaning back from his desk he pried off the blazer he had on and unbuttoned the first two buttons from his collared shirt. Some freshness was better than none! Making another attempt at doing paperwork left him light headed. A nap sounded nice…Without realizing, his body slumped itself over onto the sleek wood desk in front of him. The polish of the furniture was cold for only a moment before Kamek placed his sweaty, sticky, cheek onto the surface.

She sat up the moment she heard a loud thud coming from Kamek’s office. She quickly made her way to his office and found him face down on his desk. She wasn’t sure if he was dead, or was being dramatic and fell asleep. Whatever the case, she walked over to his side and gently tapped on his…humid and moist shoulder, “Kamek…please tell me you’re dead so I can get your desk.”

“You’re not getting my desk...” he mumbled in response. “It’s so cold right now and I love it..” adding onto his groan of suffering. Taking in a deep breath he slowly sat up and made eye contact with his secretary/coworker/whatever Aine really was to him. “Why is it so freaking hot Aine? Don’t we have any freakin’ fans or something??”
