solasposting again (ew) but i'm so deeply and forever obsessed with all new, faded for her in general, but specifically the choice of letting solas kill the mages vs stopping him. it just feels so incongruous to the character he's presenting himself as throughout inquisition. like, inq!solas is smart, level-headed, dispenses sage advice and weirdly niche knowledge. and then he's just Menacingly Advancing™ on this group of mages (who are exhausted/pretty much defenceless) and he's Going To Fucking Kill Them. it's not something he toys with that you can encourage/discourage, he is always intent on killing them unless you say something. he's going to murder them, he wants to murder them because they murdered his friend. they took someone he loved and who was good and kind, perverted them against their true nature and then killed them. the fucking mythal allegory of it all. it's one of the few times in inq we get close to Solas, The Dread Wolf, Fen'Harel rather than solas, the bald apostate guy. he snaps and the cover goes out the fucking window. and then he just goes back to being sad fade mcdreamer guy and i just..........
