Good morning! Few things before we get into this report.
I have some good news for you all! Some verified, some noteworthy speculation.
I'm doing my absolute best to bring you trustworthy information, but social media is a war zone right now. Several users that I trusted are now on opposite sides, so I'm having to trust my gut and my common sense on a lot of this.
I've always aimed to be completely transparent with you all. So, I have redownloaded LADS. WAIT before you grab your pitchforks and torches. I have two reasons for this.
— I don't know who I can trust for information anymore. I want to give you as much firsthand info as I possibly can. This is simply another way for me to do that.
— I paid a good bit of money for my yearly pass, and I've already missed out on a month of rewards. I need those for Valko. I will be logging in once a week to claim them, and I'll also check for patch notes. I'll attach a screenshot of my screen time at the bottom of my reports (starting tomorrow) to hold myself accountable.

Updates
The HA texts and Valko's WU story are still in the game after the update. They are also completely unchanged. Below I've attached a screen recording from this morning. Here you can find the screen recording from July 8th, if you like to compare the two.

ALLEGEDLY a dataminer on Instagram was able to see Valko's files. Here is the link to the full post. I'll include the details here.
— Valko's files are labeled XL, most likely referring to Xiaolang ("little wolf"), which is a nickname given to him by the development team.
— Every known Valko file is still present in the game.
— Several files were changed and added.
— The findings by this user were:
± 580 new XL-labeled references in one package
± 41 added and 16 removed in another package (mostly sound/effect)
± 247 added and 4 removed in a third package (mostly daily interaction and related labels)
± The XL card-reference package was changed internally, but all 19 known references are still present.
± Total: 886 newly visible references and 20 removed readable labels
— According to the user, references are "more like entries in a catalog than content itself." Basically, everything they added isn't necessarily "complete, playable or newly created." However, it does mean that "the game's internal configuration now points to more XL-related material than the previous saved version did."
— I know the removal part looks scary. According to the user, "the removed XL labels were small sound/effect references, such as piano and erhu home-music effects, plus a handful of cutscene sound/effect labels. No known XL model reference, XL card reference, XL animated-card family, or XL story-highlight family was removed."
— If more Valko content is being added, it's safe to assume that Infold is not moving forward with his cancellation.
— Take this with a grain of salt. I cannot verify any of this information, as I am not at all familiar with game files or datamining, but I did think it was worth mentioning. This user has posted similar things in the past, and they offer good explanations.
Here are some general social media updates:
There is currently a post circulating on Weibo stating that LADS customer service reps are telling players that Valko will not return. This is false. I've included the translated texts from the post below.
Player: I hope little wolf can come back.
CS: We are very sorry for the bad experience. We will pass on your complaints to the production team.
CS: We will definitely help you report any dissatisfaction with the game.
CS: [crying emoji]
Player: We really need to hurry up.
Player: The second and third images are a compilation of rumor-mongering accounts by overseas players
Player: The first picture shows the siege I faced while fighting against organized crime in the community
Player: Allowing those who spread rumors to cause trouble will not end well.
Player: The only arguments ordinary players can refute are logic and their own spending habits. It's too difficult.
The rest of the texts from the player explain that Valko fans are working to clear Valko's name in the media.
There is currently a rumor circulating that there will be a multi-banner in August. I cannot directly disprove this, but the post linked below offers a good starting point.
If Caleb's card runs until the 15th, that leaves a 16 day gap before the start of Zayne's birthday event (September 1st). If they still plan on releasing Rafayel's fourth myth in September, they will need those two weeks for that banner. On their first run, myth banners always last two weeks.
I know we don't want the fourth myth to drop right now, but I don't think LADS wants to go back on another promise. They've already delayed it once—I don't think they'll do it again.
Regardless, I still think this is better than trying to run a multi-banner without Valko. As a myth collector, I'm bummed. As a Valko fan, it gives me hope.
Please note that we will likely see a bump in revenue over the next few days. People WILL spend on the new Caleb banner. However, I don't think it's cause for concern. Here's why:
"This is Sensor Tower data on Caleb's banners and their revenue, so you can compare it against what's coming. I'm also including a short guide on how to read it.
1) If the new banner drops noticeably MORE than 28% compared to a comparable banner — that's the boycott effect. The 28% is the baseline year-over-year drop, measured between Caleb's two birthday banners (both 8 days, exactly one year apart, both before the cancellation): $723,932 per day → $519,612 per day.
2) If it drops by roughly the same amount — it's just the ordinary year-over-year decline continuing.
3) The shape of the curve is identical across all four: a peak on day one, then a sharp fall-off. Day two is usually 35–40% below day one. So the picture will already be visible from the first two or three days, without waiting for the event to end.
4) The global share grows WITHIN a banner: 34–44% on day one, rising to 62–68% by the end. China front-loads its spending, overseas catches up later."

It is very important that we do NOT spend on this banner. Like this lovely boycotter said in another comment, Caleb’s myth didn’t even chart so the odds of it being a big success is already low. But it is very important that they receive as little money as possible to send the message home. We will not be bought and we deserve respect. The devs deserve respect. And the Caleb girls specifically deserve more respect than to be used as a test subject and a shield. This card should have been released in an environment where everyone could be excited and enjoy it properly.
Everyone take a deep breath for me. Drop your shoulders. Unclench your jaw. Stretch your neck. Relax.

Updates
As of right now, the HA texts and Valko's WU story are still in the game following an update last night. The servers will reset for Caleb's new card tonight/tomorrow morning, so I will update you on this again tomorrow.
Personally, so long as these two things exist (specifically the WU story), I'm not worried at all. If the texts are removed, my hopium could chalk it up to Valko being re-announced at a later date. The WU story, to me, is the most important.
Rumors have been surfacing that one of the pro-Valko articles was purchased by CN fans, not Infold. This could be true—I have no real way of verifying it. But, I do have a few opinions about it.
— Who cares? I couldn't give less of a shit who funded it. The bottom line is that it benefits us either way. The article was published. It cleared up misinformation and supported our protest—that's all I care about.
— This user on X has a great evaluation. I'll include a few points here.
— "The state articles have a DISCLAIMER stating that the article was sponsored. If the article contains a disclaimer (for example, 'Sponsored content,' 'Partner information,' or commercial publication tags), it means an official commercial PR contract was signed. Corporate approval is required: Chinese media companies and PR agencies (such as GGW, Sina, and others) require verified corporate data, tax identifiers, and official signatures to conduct a soft PR campaign on behalf of a brand."
— "It is prohibited to impersonate a third party: The agency cannot take money from an anonymous fan group or a fan community admin for placing sponsored advertising representing Infold/Papergames. Doing so without the company's explicit consent is illegal commercial misappropriation of data and fraud."
— I'm still firm in my belief that, while Infold may not have purchased the article, they did fund the Valko Supertopic on Weibo. It would take someone with a fat wallet to do this (estimated $90k). I highly doubt any of the CN girls have the means to do this.
Rumors have surfaced that there is a lot of infighting going on behind the scenes at Infold. Some users have said that the PR department was pushing for Valko's cancellation.
Let me speak on this as someone with a business degree: the PR department has absolutely no control over what the company chooses to release. Even if PR execs did want Valko cancelled, they are not in a position to make that happen—especially in a place like China, where hierarchies are enforced and highly respected.
Not to mention, why would a department be against releasing a character that would surely increase the business' revenue? Like I said yesterday, the only language that businesses speak fluently is money. They want a return on their investment. Valko's development took over two years and millions of dollars—no executive in their right mind is going to push to scrap a character like that.
I'm calling BS on those rumors. Whether or not you believe them is up to your own discretion, but they don't make logical sense.
Do not believe anyone that says the situation is dire/this is our last day/this is urgent/etc. This is not a decision Infold is going to make overnight. It's been a month. Let's assume they have a plan in place at this point. They can't continue to ignore us and expect everything to be fine.
Creating a sense of urgency or impending doom is the fastest way to get a movement to crumble. People get sloppy, unfocused, and angry. Stay the course. Don't let yourself fall victim to chaos and uncertainty. Keep doing what we've been doing.
Valko's Supertopic is still at number 6 on the character leaderboard. Currently (8/4, 10:00AM CDT), the ranking is:

— CN Caleb fans who are extremely unhappy with the card. They've been asking for Colonel Caleb content and MS updates, not solo cards. Many plan to skip this banner.
— The minority that is actually content with the situation. (Wild.)

I'm always going to preach positivity and optimism on my page. No matter how dark things may seem, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Never lose hope.

i’m supposed to be asleep rn, but i had to do some self-soothing so my brain will calm down. A lot of deepspace hunters over on X have been doing tarot spreads for the infold/valko situation, so i dug out my deck to give it a shot to see if i could make any sense from it.
this spread took me a bit by surprise, it almost feels too on the nose. going from left to top to right, with the bottom card being the over all reading of the situation-
The 5 of Wands (left): there is a lot of infighting and struggle, fueled by clashing egos and pettiness. We know this, the last 24hrs have been a clear example.
The 2 of Pentacles (top center): searching for balance amid financial hardship, while being flexible and adaptable to make it through difficult times. A 73% revenue drop off is a hell of a financial struggle, and we’re watching them search for balance in real time. Every move they make is an adjustment, all these changes to their schedule and plans show that they are trying to adapt to the situation. I believe this will be to our benefit.
The 4 of Wands (right): there is community being built, teamwork being used to make real achievements happen, and there is celebration among friends. This is also clear in the global community rallying around Valko, raising funds and awareness for good and turning our hardship into compassion and kinship across the world. This is our strength.
Last, and my favorite, The Wheel of Fortune (bottom center): The wheel of fortune is one of the major arcana, representing upheaval and change for your benefit. The wheel brings with it luck, and the reminder that sometimes change comes with growing pains. Notably, the wheel represents the karmic cycle, one of the foundations of Love and Deepspace, and soul mates, another major building block of the game.
There are struggles, and change has come and is coming. So, Infold dropped a Caleb 5-star last night. Really stupid thing to do, but whatever.
Here's some quick facts:
It will run from 8/5-8/14. We don't know what's coming after that.
The original post of the wish rewards had a mistake. The pose was Sylus's from Kitten Included when it was initially posted. They corrected it later.
The colors on the wish rewards are just...weird. The turquoise doesn't match anything else.
All numbers and words have been completely censored in Caleb's card. Remember, he has a canon basketball number (5). All of the text looks like AI generated slop.
LADS is getting ratio'd to high hell on the PV. As of 11:45AM CDT:

— Instagram: likes hidden. 23.8k comments

Valko's supertopic is still trending at number 6 on Weibo. I get to include my own screenshots for this now.
Infold seems to have removed Version 6.0 from their bio. I double-checked this myself, and I can verify it. All of the promo material for 6.0 is still public on their social media.
SPECULATION: They could be preparing for an entire re-launch of Version 6.0. I think it's in their best interest at this point, but we don't know what that would look like yet.
My Thoughts
I know we're all pissed—believe me, I am too. But, I don't see this as a setback.
A solo card was expected. They cannot continue to rerun old material at this rate. However, the solo was supposed to be Rafayel, not Caleb. Either way, this is much better than a multi-banner.
I am still operating under the opinion that no news is good news. Infold has not directly addressed the Valko situation for a reason—we simply don't know what that reason is. Until they say that the cancellation is final, we have a fighting chance.
The release of Caleb's card does not erase all of the positives we have seen. We still have plenty of articles that support his release, hundreds of thousands of fans that are fighting to get him back, and Infold themselves have changed their tune. Between supporting the Supertopic on Weibo and the adjustments to customer service messages, I'm tempted to believe that they're trying to figure out a way to bring him back.
Let's look at this logically. Valko would bring in a ton of revenue for Infold. That's all they care about. Businesses and corporations don't operate based on feelings. They care about revenue, ROI, and metrics. They spent two years and millions of dollars developing him. Bottom line: releasing Valko is the logical decision.
I'm not here to make excuses for Infold. They dug their own grave. However, I do believe that they have a lot going on behind the scenes, especially in the legal sense. This could be their way of buying time.
Please don't let this ruin your hope. There is still a very strong possibility that Valko is coming back. We can't expect an immediate resolution at this point. Caleb's banner ends on the 14th—this is our next checkpoint. Until then, don't stop pushing.
Let me remind all of you to stay kind and respectful. I know tensions are high and everyone is frustrated, but we have a common enemy. Do not turn on each other. Support one another. We have to do this as a community—now more than ever.

Customer service has changed the way they're responding to customer feedback. They never used to say Valko's name, they simply said that the message had been recorded. Now, they're actually acknowledging him.

Several polls regarding Valko and his release have begun to appear on Weibo. I've seen a few here and there on Weibo and RedNote since the beginning of the protest, but many more have been posted over the past couple of days.
SPECULATION: I don't think the polls have much influence when it comes to Infold's decision-making. However, getting demographic data from the polls is important. According to the post below, the vast majority of antis voting on these polls are minors. Given how the Chinese government has begun to crack down on minors in digital spaces, the demographic data could very well be used as evidence.
I mentioned in my report yesterday that many CN players are coming across a facial recognition pop-up when they log into the game. I want to clarify a few things regarding this.
Facial recognition would only be implemented in China. Everything is connected to their ID numbers, so facial recognition cross-references the photo on their ID to the face it’s scanning to ensure it’s the same person. Essentially, if a minor used their parent’s ID number to access age restricted content, facial recognition would be able to identify it and prohibit them from entering the game. It is not based on how old you look—it uses information stored by the government to confirm identity.
According to Infold's customer service, Rafayel's fourth myth has been delayed until August.

Here is the latest information we obtained for you: Due to significant adjustments to the schedule for the upcoming versions, and to ensure the stability and user experience of future content after release, the development team is working at full speed on the necessary preparations. A couple of days ago, searching for "Ao Yin" on Weibo brought up negative posts. But today, when you click on the topic title, only positive posts show up. These posts aren't made by entirely ordinary users, or as Chinese girls say, "they don't look like our people."
Buying the FIRST spot in a topic is very expensive. None of the Chinese users organized a purchase. Chinese users themselves are in a state of "???" because this whole positive turnaround toward Valko happened suddenly and very sharply.
What conclusion begs to be drawn? (: Most likely, Infold themselves paid for that spot and the bots that made those posts.
Is that good? Of course it's good, because the antis used the same tactic with bots to tarnish the character's name.
Now let's connect the myth transfer of Raphael + the company's refusal to delete/destroy any information about Valko in any way (since that's the only logical option if they've 100% decided to remove him, and don't want to return even to mentioning his name) + Valko previews on the global version, which still haven't been deleted (they could do that later, but still) + positive articles on various state sites. It feels like the company is leaving little seeds in different spots, which will later bear fruit all at once. I don't want to claim that they're 100% bringing him back, because I myself can't bring myself to believe or hope in something extra like that, but the logical threads are starting to intertwine.
My Thoughts
This is a pretty information-heavy report, but I'm as optimistic as ever! Let me break down a few points that I think are working in our favor.
The government and state media have cleared Infold and Valko, and they continue to post in support of clearing misinformation, maintaining artistic integrity, and pursuing economic success.
The government and Infold are implementing more intense restrictions on minors, which make up a large portion of the anti-Valko group.
Revenue and downloads continue to drop.
Rafayel's fourth myth has been postponed. Recall that the cancellation announcement specifically said that it would be announced in July. They've broken a promise. In my mind, that makes the entire thing null and void.
My reasoning, as someone who worked in a legal office: if you have a contract, you're expecting to adhere to each and every clause in it. If you don't, you can be sued for breach of contract, no matter how insignificant the breach may seem. You render the entire thing null and void simply by not adhering to every term.
Infold is still silent, there are no active events or banners, and we know they are pursuing legal action. To me, this seems like they are trying to clear a path forward.
Several media outlets—both Chinese and otherwise—have acknowledged the global outcry. Infold cannot ignore it. If they do, they'll be actively going against the government's advice to listen to the global market, and that would be an astonishingly stupid thing to do.
Logically speaking, the best thing they can do at this point is release Valko. Now, yes, I'm always high on hopium, but this seems like the best way forward in my opinion:
Release a statement as soon as possible. Give the players an explanation, an apology, and a roadmap.
Reinstate Valko at the beginning of August. Let the revenue speak for itself.
Release Raf's fourth myth directly afterwards. This will give Infold time to release the PVs and to hype up the event.
Would this be rough on players and our wallets? Yes, absolutely. But, it's also the best way to recover their revenue, stay on schedule, and regain player support.
Remember that July 29th is our next checkpoint, but it's not the finish line. As we get closer to the end of the month, it's extremely important that we maintain our momentum. Keep posting, emailing, and pushing the petitions. We will get our wolf back!
Character analysis are great within a fandom. It's when a fan tries to understand a character more in depth. Helping us understand a character's creation, motives, behavior and their relationships with other characters. I thought about this, as I thought about the typical Jinu haters. Someone who hates him but doesn't give off the vibe to understanding why other fans like this character.
Something I love in storytelling is learning about the character. What the inspiration for the character's development is. Like how the Saja Boys are pretty much corrupted Korean Grim Reapers and the artistic alternate robes Jinu and his boy's could of been wearing.
It really makes you wonder as well as how Gwima chooses the victim's he intends to enslave vs consume. Such as Jinu who was starving on the streets with his family. How the transformation went ect. I also wonder if Gwima would have turned Mira and Zoey into Saja Demons. Why waste their souls when he could use them.
Another thing I like learning in early drafts is us seeing that Jinu is pretty dangerous when he wants to be. In the original, we see this by him easily avoiding Rumi's attacks. She only get's one lucky hit when it didn't take him long to slice her sleeve open revealing her patterns. Which was the scene that needed to happen to move the story along. In Alex Chiu's early version it seems almost like Jinu is toying with Rumi before she gets her lucky hit. This isn't a dig at Rumi but makes me realize she isn't possibly the first hunter he has ran into who has tried to cut his head off, no questions asked.

Something that drives me nuts is when Jinu's haters accuse him of gaslighting Rumi without understanding what gaslighting actually is.
Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation. When the abuser makes the victim not trust their own memories, judgements or sanity.
The only character that does any gaslighting is Gwima and the victim is Jinu. (Other demons too but we see this abuse through Jinu)
This is what Gwima wants Jinu to believe about himself. It's also established that this is how Gwima controls his demons. With shame.
Their patterns also hurt when they flare up. So it's not just mental torture but he is being physically tortured.
Its also showed that if your "weak" or not useful to Gwima he kills you.
Jinu has mastered the art of survival under his abuser and dodging hunters who attack no questions asked. He is useful and competent which Jinu's haters hate, but shows why Gwima won't let him go. But was also willing to listen to his plan.
Jinu is a complex morally grey who is bad not because he wants to be but because of his life under Gwima. I think it's fair to say perhaps the character things he has to do more to redeem himself even if it wasn't his fault, being enslaved to a Demon King. Something he would feel he needs to do, while Rumi is keeping an eye on his mental health. 400 years under Gwima wouldn't just disappear.

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes! Hard to believe I'm 23 today. I swear I still feel 17 most of the time. Only thing on my birthday list is Valko but apparently my package is delayed.
Usually, I would log into the game to get tortured by the LIs' singing (said lovingly), but I refuse to break the boycott. It's a little upsetting, quite honestly. I miss my husband but I have to bring my boyfriend back from war. Thanks a lot, Infold.

There were a couple of new updates in the game—mostly bug fixes for 6.0. All of Valko's information (texts, WU story, etc.) is still there!
They added a daily wish limit for some reason. Not really sure what the purpose of that is.
They're also running double daily drops, which usually happens when a myth is on the way. Logically speaking, this could be for either Valko or Raf's 4th myth, since the cancellation announcement said it was be announced in July. If we're snorting hopium, they could be preparing to bring Valko back.

7.20, LADS's ranking on the game list falls to 64th, marking the first time since January 1, 2025, that the game has dropped below the top 60 on the list, with rankings continuing to decline thereafter.
As of today, 7.24, Valko has not been restored nearly a month after delisting. The game's list ranking has fallen out of the top 100 to 101st, reaching the lowest revenue point in recent years.

Apparently, LADS is starting to crack down on minors playing the game. From a user on X, "users on XHS are commenting that the game only requested facial verification on rare occasions, and just one day before the news of the police enforcement for this campaign on CCTV, users started getting the pop-up message and kids are worried about it. i really hope their accounts get closed because LADS content is not something that does them any good at that young age."
CN players have begun gathering letters from people from all over the world in support of #BringValkoBack. I believe (cannot confirm as of right now) that they are delivering these letters to Infold. If you'd like to submit one, here's the link to the website.

Valko's supertopic on Weibo continues to grow! From a CN user on X, "Oh my gosh. The super topic gained 2000 fans, it was still 20k when I checked yesterday, and just now it's 22k. Isn't it because there are so many global players who broke through all sorts of tough obstacles hehe. (By the way, Love and Deepspace lost 2000 followers yesterday, I've been keeping an eye on it)."

First of all, let me reiterate this once again because I've had several people message me about it. The banner post on TikTok that includes all 6 LIs was never taken down. I check their socials everyday and have been since the 30th. It has always been there.

Apparently, even LADS customer service workers are reaching out to big-spending players Actual insane behavior. Creds to the CN girls for holding the line.

There really was a customer service rep who proactively reached out to a big-spending player begging them to come back, looks like YZY Games really cares about the revenue 😎🫶🏻🫶🏻 But this young lady made it very clear! She only has one demand: Give us back our little wolf!! We have to keep pushing, guys 🫶🏻"
This user confirmed the information. The reps aren't asking people to spend money, but they ARE contacting whales and asking them to come back to the game.

Translation: Sis, ever since customer service added me, they’ve only been apologizing to me. They never said anything trying to persuade me to come back to the game or encouraging me to top up (spend money) again.
The idea that they were ‘trying to persuade players to return and continue spending’ is really just speculation that many dissatisfied players came up with based on the fact that customer service re-added former whale (big-spending) players as contacts.
But at least in my chat history with customer service, they never expressed anything like ‘please come back to the game and keep playing’ or ‘please continue spending money on our game."
ANOTHER article, this one on Toutiao (Jīnrì Tóutiáo), ByteDance's news platform. This X user already provided the big points, so I'll paste them here!
➺ The article states clearly that LADS is a game designed for adults 18+. Age-appropriate governance should block minors from accessing it, NOT water down the content for adult players.
➺ It directly proposes a governance cycle: discover the problem, rectify within a deadline, re-evaluate, restore service. It argues that after a company completes rectification and passes review, it should have a clear and predictable path to resume normal operations. Simply removing products is not a mature solution.
➺ It acknowledges that during the LADS controversy, there were concentrated posting campaigns, mass complaint mobilization, and escalation from product issues to attacks on the company and player groups. And it raises the possibility that minors may have been pulled into these coordinated attacks as participants, not just as victims of inappropriate content.
➺ It states that protecting minors means BOTH keeping them away from inappropriate content AND preventing them from being used as tools to attack companies, creators, or other users through online group manipulation.
➺ And it says game companies deserve a normal operating environment free from false information, cyberbullying, and abnormal mass reporting.

-It has been removed for cybersecurity reasons because this link has been spammed everywhere on every platforms.
So their AI bot system thought it was something malicious that tried to collect sensitive information from people and removed it.
-If it was a move from the antis, they would have tried to remove it from all social media platform and not only Instagram and Threads, or they would have tried to bring down the website for the petition.

I also want to note that DAU metrics are not an absolute. Sensortower and AppMagic and similar sites are rough estimates in both revenue and measuring DAU. However, because these are constantly adjusted as more info is available, they are pretty reliable when it comes to tracking trends of data, ie if numbers go up or down.
A caveat to that is that it is far less accurate when it comes to the Cn userbase - however there are other ways of measuring that based on multipliers, or from info unavailable to those outwith the country.
All that is to say, these graphs need not be alarming and the title is a little extreme imo, but it is a good reminder that logging in is a metric that mobile game companies pay close attention to in ADDITION to revenue changes.
As with all boycotts, you are only in charge of your own behaviour. Spread the word for sure, but trying to pressure others - whether to play or not play - is counterproductive to any goals ( ಠ▿▿ಠ)و ̑̑
