Breakfast.

A few snaps from my morning run. My first fire engine, or what appears to be some sort of fire apparatus. It’s crazy to think how long some of these building have been standing.

Last night in Palermo. Another cannoli, tried my first spritz, wasn‘t really a big fan, went back to beer. Tried some fried calamari and then some muscles with other delicious sides “aperitivo” with my drinks. The police have interesting hats. A bit more mellow on a Sunday night than the rest of the week, but still a good amount of people out enjoy the cooler evening air.

A good day of walking around and seeing the tourist sites. Eating a little food and being hot. 89 degrees and humid.

My first trip to the market just below my apartment. I think people get up a bit later here, the market was still slow at 9am this morning but seems to be much busier now at 11 am. So much amazing produce and fish. I bought some tomatoes, grapes, olives, and watermelon an Italian pizza like pastry (amazing) and a glass of fresh orange juice. 

Put in a nice little run this morning. These are from my walk to the apartment from the train station. Nice new trains, the ride was smooth and easy. The city is fascinating already. Can’t wait to look around a lot more.

It all starts with a bus ride from to SFO from Rohnert Park. 9:15 am departure with an 11:30 arrival time at the airport. Flight leaves at 1:55 pm.
