Luckily, they realized I was home, and they left. Still don't know who it was. But the apartment isn't that great. Asked for things to be fixed and they just- don't get fixed. Ironically, the same man who set me back on that path of destruction pulled me on the right track later. So here I am, trying to make amends." Shortened version, Cain spares Sydney the gruesome details. "That doesn't mean I can promise to be good company. Depends on your definition."

Considering that it must have seen and done some horrific things, she wouldn't pry on those subjects. Sydney wasn't too sure what, or if he had a memory that could make him upset. Even if you were set on the right path by someone who steered you wrong to begin with, in the end, you're in a better place. You're trying to make up for it.
