Spoons was old. Spoons had wisdom. Spoons had the memory of a rusty sieve. For this last reason, Spoons had not learned her lesson from the last time she'd portaled into Melvin's room. And so:

A wind kicked up from nowhere, followed quickly by a random space midair getting swallowed by a void rimmed in sparkling lights. The golden android pranced right through.

Okay. Okay okay okay. So... she was in the brig. And not the brig of the Snuggly Duckling, but the brig of some blasted pirate ship. Rapunzel could only imagine why she'd been taken from her own ship and brought to this one; Slavery, sex trade, or, worst-case scenario, because the captain of this ship somehow knew about the Sundrop and what it could do. Well, if that was the case, the joke was on him, because the extremely visible one around her neck was a fake, the real one hidden.

She trusted her crew of thugs and ruffians to chase this ship down and find her. In the meantime, all she had to do was keep the Sundrop a secret.

Oh, fourth option: he somehow knew who she was, and intended to ransom her. She knew her father would pay a fortune for her safe return, and what pirate wouldn't want a pile of treasure, even if it meant harming an innocent girl? Especially when, in some cases.

ㅤㅤ❝𝓛ook, if you're gonna be coming over here so much, you might as well have a key.❞ Not that it was hard to pick the lock on her apartment door. Thank the landlord— scumlord— for that one. She herself attached a few newer locks on her side just to keep things a bit safer. Regardless, with Melvin coming over much more often, it was about time that they took that step. Sydney then reached into her purse and took out a spare key to hand over to him. ❝You and your sister can fight over that if you want.❞ She teased.

There are moments where Zora needs to a moment to sit with the .. strange, bad feelings that are coming up for them. Guilt, frustration, exhaustion. It seems like a lot of these things have been surfacing .. even with all the steps that they have been taking to have more structure and intention in how they moved.

They supposed this was just what came with actually being alive. The difficulties, the challenges.

Doesn't make it any more comforting as far as they were concerned.

They found themself seeming a little distracted when around Melvin when they felt a poke at their shoulder, their name said a few times.
