He gave an attempt at a kind smile--Pokemon usually seemed to understand his intentions, although he was far more awkward with other humans--sadly. He often came across as awkward.

"I appreciate that very much, thank you." His smile widened a little and he turned to speak with the purring Pokemon on his shoulder.

"I know you're not a fan of water, so you should stay with Reshiram."

She looked very displeased, her tail lashing back and forth. N pet between her ears and she seemed to calm before finally jumping down to run over to Reshiram.

N then turned back to Quagsire.

"I believe you~" The Pokemon felt that he was a good judge of character and he didn't sense any malice from this human. If any other Pokemon at the lake would give any trouble than he would vouch for him.

"I'll take you there." He wasn't the quickest Pokemon, so it wouldn't be the quickest stroll, but it would ensure that one wouldn't get lost. With that, Quagsire began walking towards the west, not really looking to see if the other could keep up since he knew his pace was pretty slow.

"Some are more wonderful than others." A small pause before he continued, "Shigure and Ayame can be a bit tiring if you're around them too long." A bit of a tease towards his closest friends, although his expression did little to reveal if he was joking. "They would be the lucky ones to consider you a friend." While he didn't comment on the wonderful part towards himself, there was a bit of a pink tinge to his cheeks.

Though she wasn't too sure if it was the right play- no pun intended- it was still comforting to have strong connections in a place where lives fall apart within seconds. Now, if they were able to sway the votes and get the majority, they would be set. At the moment, they were pretty even, and only a couple of people split the difference. Shigure smiled, pleased that the romcom idea was a success. While he wasn't always the easiest person to collaborate with, there were times that he was open to working well with others, typically as long as it didn't involve having to limit himself. The idea of a romcom was a challenge he was intrigued by and a part of him was excited to write a concept that wasn't quite his norm.

"It would be wonderful to get a movie adaptation of one of my novels~" That was a goal that Shigure could look forward to and was actually possible considering how successful some of his author aliases were.

The author shook her hand that she held out to him. When it came to money, he wasn't exactly cheap. Not when he had his money from his work and the money that came in from the Sohma estate. Of course, he was going to need to do some research on what a good price would be since he generally left that part to his publishing company.
