ANASTASYAAAA!!!! She is actually so pretty, I'm pretty happy with her design!!!! Also Vodyanitsa, Odette, Vesna, Noy and Mitya look so good imo!!!

but seriously, sandrone and columbina could’ve been so interesting and cool. my main issue with columbina is not even that she’s not eerie or whatever, it’s mostly that she feels so bland and just ungrateful honestly. i feel like zibai’s personality would’ve fit her character more. further 6.x patches just made columbina dull honestly. she was calm, pained and collected but suddenly she’s this ditzy silly girly pop. like she’s over 500 years old, tf? And if you call out how badly she was characterized everyone starts screaming misogyny.

like it’s so far from that. Personally i enjoyed fatui as mainly antagonistic. signora and arle are such interesting characters for example. they’re both incredibly complex, especially signora, she displays clearly antagonistic traits. like kicking venti, using tartaglia, just overall displays of unsettling behavior That isn’t over the top. but she also has an incredible backstory, tragic story that in a way makes her behavior seem more human. she suffered too, but it’s far more subtle.

the difference with columbina is that, hoyo was like so adamant about making her tragic and yet that failed so miserably at that. and the new animations and storylines are further proof of it. like wdym this tragically lonely woman was having casual tea parties and pillow fights with her supposed coworkers who were SOOO NOT her friends omg?! It’s so stupid and weird, not to mention how infantilized she is. It’s getting pretty gross both her and citlali behave in such an off putting way, like why? I mean ik who hoyo is trying to attract but that’s just making it even worse idk.
