Hi there! Here is a post that I'll pin to my profile so y'all can get an idea of who I am!
You probably know me as lanearoo on Discord and/or AO3, but I started my tumblr account twelve million years ago, before I had a desire for consistency. And I do really like being shunstanpike because it comes from a fond memory of a fun time with friends.
I'm currently (and for the foreseeable future) interested exclusively in wolfstar (other hobbies? what other hobbies?) but I've also been known to obsess over Our Flag Means Death, BTS, and the upcoming game Paralives. I'm always happy to chat about any of the above.
I like to write comedy with heart and action-packed stories with bonkers premises, but I'm also really really proud of my more emotional, angsty stories.
I love the mutual support of this community - I've read so much incredible work from you all and have learned a lot about being a better writer and a better person.
It should go without saying, but jkr is the scum of the earth. I do not support her horrible views and actions, nor do I support her work financially.
One of my favorite causes, if you're in the mood to see some good in the world, is GirlForward, an organization that supports girls who are refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers, through mentoring, tutoring, and safe spaces.

James has never seen anything like it. He didn’t think it was possible to move like that. To dance in such a way, that is so utterly, terribly … bad.
Long limbs flaying about. Feet stepping on more toes than floor. So out of beat to the music there might as well be silence, while still looking totally lost in the tunes. Could it even be called dancing? He looks possessed. He looks like he’s trying to get rid of a fly. He looks like he is sleepwalking.
It is fascinating.
It is sickening.
Someone needs to take this boy off the dance floor. He’s had too many drinks. James thinks he must do something about the situation, or he will stain the reputation of the marauders until they finish school. He thinks maybe this is what will prove to the people that werewolves in their human form are nothing to worry about.
Look at him. He can’t even move to a beat. How could he be a danger to society? The only danger here is to the toes he will stumble on.
He turns to Sirius for support, and discovers that Sirius too has been caught by the sight of the horrible dance moves. They could make a combined effort to get Moony off the dancefloor before—
Sirius is smiling. A stupid, goofy, relaxed smile. Like the flapping limbs on the dancefloor is the most graceful thing he has seen. Like it is a beautiful flower, a delicate butterfly. The answer to all of his questions.
Sirius must be drunk too.

At age eighteen, Remus Lupin cut off his best friend, Sirius Black, and tried to move on from the heart-crushing unrequited love he’d held for him since they were eleven. Three years later, he pretends that he’s moved on, but that illusion shatters like his heart three years ago when Sirius worms his way back into Remus’s life.
He can’t bring himself to regret letting Sirius back in, though, when they finally, finally get together, making all of the pining and heartache worth it. Suddenly, his days of fighting against the desires of his heart, of feeling its battered ache with every beat, are over. He has Sirius for good now.
Unless “for good” turns out to be a mere few months. Unless it turns out that Remus isn’t the only one keeping a big secret.

if I had video editing skills I would find a clip of Josh O'Connor cooking something (ideally frantically) and I would take a clip of Jeremy Allen White screaming commands in The Bear and put it on Josh O'Connor's head, and I would caption it "live action Ratatouille."
