been tagged by many lovely people over the past week or so @brandileigh2003 @lifeisabitch-butimcute @astralsunshine @fruityindividual, thank you all! : , ^ ) i haven't been writing very much that can be shared recently, but i'm finally, slowly, getting properly back into wtwgq, so here's an unedited little bit that will (i think) be for the final (!!) chapter..

“What are you doing Friday night?” Sirius asks next, ignoring the heavier thud in his chest. Instead, letting his eyes dip further, right down to the back of Remus’ hand. “Nothing,” Remus replies readily. Eagerly. “Or—erm... nothing...yet.” Sirius has to smirk. “Mm,” he hums, rougher than it ought to be. He shifts his hand a little closer to Remus’, lifts his index finger and lets it land in the little crater between Remus’ first two knuckles. “That’s good.” A pause, Remus clearly waiting for Sirius to continue. And then, when he doesn’t: “Is it?” “Is it what?” Sirius asks, just for the game of it. Not to stall. Because stalling would imply that he’s nervous and he is simply not. Not nervous. Not. Never. Why would—? Whatever. “Is it good?” Remus asks, playing along without complaint. “That I’m not doing anything.” The corners of Sirius’ lips hitch up his cheeks, and he nods, letting his eyes flick up to snag against Remus’ for just a moment before they drop again. “Yeah. It is.” His finger begins to move in slow, mindless circles around the full moon-swell of Remus’ middle knuckle. A rush of breath; Sirius can’t quite tell whether it’s frustrated or amused or possibly both at once. “And why’s that?”
