⚒️If you are a prospective author, chances are you're caught in a dilemma about whether to write fiction or nonfiction.
Let's see🔬
Well, really, that tussle between fiction and nonfiction, it may well be over. ☮️
The line has blurred over time.
🪡As storytelling takes centrestage, it's all about, well, telling a story.
🧑🏻💻My own book, The Petticoat Journal, a nonfiction, is more a compilation of anecdotes followed by theories that women can apply to improve their relationship with money💰.
🌤️Well, yes, these stories are real. But then what's fiction? Aren't the stories still real in there? Didn't someone say 'fiction is truer than truth?'
Yet, a couple of differences that must still set fiction and nonfiction apart:
📝1. LANGUAGE: Fiction uses flowery language while nonfiction needs to be put down in simple language.
📐2. FORMAT: Fiction is a story told start to end and. The learnings are to be derived by the reader. Nonfiction must clearly state the takeaways through theories, formulae etc clearly stated after each story told.
