I love how dramatic Gorions Ward is in the games. One moment I can think of in particular is when your in the beginning of bg1, going through candle keep. You can do a few side quests before heading out. If you talk to Reevor he’ll give you a quest for clearing the storehouse of rats (something he claims to have told the Ward to do yesterday). In the Jorunal for the quest its written:
“Reevor has once again pressed me into service in his storehouse. All reports has suggested that our feline forces have turned traitor and that the rats are on the offensive. it appears that I am our last Hope in the face of such an awesome display of power. Farewell, dear journal… farewell”
Okay I have a question about Orin, and I haven't been able to find a satisfactory answer. Is she actually a Bhaalspawn? Like, what are the requirements? In BG1 and 2, the Bhaalspawn are all Bhaal's literal children and contain his essence, right? The player and Sarevok are half siblings whose mothers were impregnated by Bhaal. Pretty straightforward. Then in BG3, the Dark Urge as I understand it came about through a slightly different route (haven't actually gotten that information in my playthrough yet), but they were made from Bhaal's body so it makes sense that they would contain his essence and still count as a Bhaalspawn.
But Orin is not a direct child of Bhaal--she's the child and grandchild (but let's not get into that) of Sarevok. Now, one could argue that she still inherited some of Bhaal's essence through him... except that he no longer has Bhaal's essence by this point (unless he got it back somehow??). He was stripped of the essence after his death at the end of BG1.
So is Orin actually a Bhaalspawn? If she somehow counts, then surely any children the main character from BG1 and 2 had would also be Bhaalspawn (along with any potential descendants of other Bhaalspawn like the Five)? I believe in Throne of Bhaal you can have a baby with Aerie. I didn't romance her so I have no idea if the issue is addressed at all in that scenario, but would that child have inherited any connection to Bhaal?
From what I understand, orins mother is also a bhaalspawn. So two Bhaalspawns having a bhaalspawn (ew) makes sense I guess. The main character from the first game could have a kid with aerie and I don’t know if they would fully count. I remember jaheira mentioning something like “you control what you pass to you children” when durge questions her about themselves having children possibly in the future, and their concerns that they will have the same issues they do.

so I’m doing a modded play through of bg3 right now and I just really wanna get your guys’s opinions. I’m doing a level 20 build and playing around with a circle of dreams druid/life cleric(selune) To put it simply who should I romance? Not doing an evil play through also not a durge.
Romance for a dreams druid/life cleric?
Shadowheart
Astarion
Laezel
Wyll
Gale
Halsin
Minthara
Karlach

This build was based on a d&d campaign that went to level 20 (was supposed to go beyond but we stopped, dm wanted high levels) was a circle of dreams druid 14/ life cleric 6. Not optimal but was fun.
I finished a run in bg3 with a friend and its some of the most fun I've ever had in a playthrough. We were both wild magic sorcerers (for memes) and we came up with a fun idea. We threw all the companions names in a randomizer and switch their classes. So we had Gale and Minthara switch. Astarion and Wyll switch. Shadowheart and Karlach. Laezel and halsin.
It doesn't change the gameplay as far as fighting but its very entertaining. Especially when Gale still talks like a wizard but is smithing everyone in battle with a sword. The lore reason my friend came up with was that we had a wild magic surge that accidently swapped every ones class. More than anything its just a funny way to play the game without changing too much.

Before I start: This is all information I got from the redbook you can buy that has SCP information. Some of the amnestics that were mentioned were ones I had never heard of before so I decided to make short summaries of the amnestics and what they do, Enjoy!
This is a very basic amnestic that gets rid of memories that happen 5 to 6 hours prior. It's often used on people who have seen anomalies. The officer in the area that's giving them the amnestic can actually retrigger these memories and erase them again if need be.
Class A, General Retrograde:
Class B, Regressive Retrograde:
This amnestic is used to erase memories that happened 24 hours prior. It's used if the memories are beyond the 6 our period that the previous amnestic handles.
Class C, Targeted Retrograde:
Although this anesthetic isn't distributed much due to lack of resources, Its main functionality is that it removes specific memories regardless when they happened. It allows foundation to remove classified information if need be.
Class D, Progressive Retrograde:
Class amnestics are rarely used, but their function is that they remove the earliest memories in the subjects mind.
Class E, Ennui:
Ennui isn't the proper word for this as it's described as an "anti-nostalgia" amnestic. This one is more psychological as it changes the memories in your brain and either a positive or negative way. The end result is that it causes the subject to perceive the world world as it is, Not seeing anything weird or strange as they don't remember it that way. Essentially if something is freaking you out because it's scary or weird they could use this and you would see it as normal.
Class F, Fugue:
The amnestic in this case give the subject amnesia. Once the person loses their identity they're either given one by the officer there, or they're allowed to develop an identity of their own.
Class G, Gaslighting:
Used for non anomalous memories, This mystic is quite controversial. It causes the subject to doubt all of their memory. Not knowing if they are truly authentic or not.
Class H, Anterograde:
The nature of the synestic prevents the subject from gaining any new memories. The effect usually lasts about 24 hours unless given another dose.
Class I, Transient:
Unlike the Class F amnestic, this one gives you temporary amnesia for about 24 hours.
Class W-Z, Mnestics:
This one protects against mnemontic anomalies and anti-memetic agents. W allows the person to perceive and retain knowledge of antimemes. X restores awareness of the person after perceiving antimemes or it suppresses memories. Y allows the subject to recall any memories while it's in effect. Finally Z, it disables the subject to forget anything for the rest of their lives. It's also fatal since most subjects die hours after receiving it.
And that's all of them that I found, I may be wrong on somethings so feel free to correct me if I made a mistake. I hope you enjoyed!
