I kind of want to do an assquisitor playthrough of Inquisition but then I realise that would mean making Cullen go back on lyrium and I just... I can’t. I can’t do that to him. Not after seeing those post-Trespasser slides. Not even for the sake of doing an assquisitor playthrough.
I guess I’m just lousy as being an asshole.
I think I need to go through and look at the major/minor decision points and maybe try a... hmm, I’m not sure how to describe that sort of inquisitor I mean. You know, one who would conscript the mages because they want them under the Inquisition’s control. They’d keep the Grey Wardens for a similar reason - keep them under the Inquisition’s control so that if there’s any further problems they can be dealt with. Firmly. They’d do the companions’ personal quests because they want to keep them on side. In fact, they’d often say whatever they think will make the companion in question happy rather than what they actually think for the same reason. So that would fit with not making Cullen go back on lyrium.
Hmm, maybe a pro-Circle mage? Or maybe a mage who is a little bit like Vivienne. Supports the idea of the Circle for everyone other than them. Or maybe a warrior or a rogue who goes to Redcliffe to see what the hell is going on (while thinking they’ll go after the Templars once they’ve heard out the mages) then realising they can’t leave the Tevinters with a stronghold in Fereldan so they go through the whole thing to defeat Alexius and then conscript the mages because they’re so pissed off at Fiona for the decision she made.
