I saw this while at work and could not focus on Anything else but thinking about them so here is my ramble:

Scriddler is really interesting to me because it's based virtually in no canon other than looking at the two and finding compatibility. They have very clashing personalities but share a lot of traits they express in super different ways. The first example that comes to mind is them both being intellectual social outcasts, but taking radically different things from it. Riddler thinks of himself as smarter and better where Scarecrow considers himself genuinely not human.

Jmart, especially early seasons, is similar in that sense . They do not get along because they clash, they both have to learn and discover that they can understand each other. And I think they are so compelling because they adapt to each other, they become literally the only people in the world who can understand one another, but nothing about their personalities change.

Also ! I think Jonmartin is a really beautiful example of what I see in Scriddler: love and understanding for mentally ill people. I think there is Absolutely something to be said about how both Jons are written as addicts disconnected from their own humanity while Ed + Martin are both at certain points genuinely disabled by obsession and depression respectively. something something being entirely supported and seen by someone who doesn't understand what you go through but loves you anyway something
