personally, i get much more out of the idea that i am still worth something despite being fundamentally broken, than i get from being told that i'm "not" broken or that i can "stop" being broken. i already know what i am, and i know that what i am isn't going to change. when someone tries to argue otherwise i just know they're not interested in who i am. they only care about some imagined better version of me they have in their head.
