A fisheye veiw of Herald Square in NYC. So I go to test out a fisheye lens today, during a photowalk at BH Photo. The walk was in conjuction with Lensbaby. They have some really great creative lenses in there stock. I had a great time warping realtiy. I'm definitely going to look into adding this lens to my arsenal

There were no shortage of animal companions at this years Easter Bonnet Festival in NYC.  Just like their owners they were sporting their Sunday’s Best.

Decided to experiment with moving lights, or rather with stationary lights and make them move.  This was a simple street on the Upper West Side of NYC.  Now it has become a dancefloor for an explosion of lights.

The Annual New Year's Day Polar Bear Plunge brought many people from far and wide to Coney Island's Boardwalk.  Many came to participate and even more came for moral support.  When it was all said and done there were many emotions.  Most of which were joy and a sense of accomplishment.  i was fortunate enough to have caught the range of emotions that were produced.  I hope to be here again next year partake in yet another groups plunge into greatness.

New Year's Day 2015 brought the annual Polar Bear Plunge sponsored by the Coney Island Polar Bear Club.  This was my first year attending this event.  It was a very festive and energetic occasion.  The boardwalk clamored with prospective plungers, photographers,  and  general spectators.  There was music in the air provided by a DJ and several local musicians.  Costumed revelers burned up the boardwalk dancing to the eclectic mix of tunes.  The restaurants overflowed with patrons.  All here to have a good time.  When the time grew near for the big event, the photographers jockeyed for a space on the beach where the could capture the explosive excitement that was about to unfold.  The veterans could be seen waterproofing their wardrobe for the less crowded spots within the surf.  All in all it was an atmosphere of comradery and exhilaration.  The participants had all donned there wardrobe or lack there of and approached the starting line.  Once the signal was given, a wave of bodies dashed across the sand into the frigid water.  Many returned to the beach just as fast as they jumped in.  Others frolicked as if it were a warm summer day.  These are the moments that many of us long for.  This was definitely a great experience for me.  Now that I know what to expect, I will return next year even more energized, with a new plan of attack.

It’s always amazing the things that can be found off the beaten path. In the middle of a block, down an unassuming alleyway, rests a hidden gated apartment complex. These little gems make NYC what it is. @bh_event_space

The end of an era. The face of art is changing in Queens. Looks like this is the final week before nothing remain where once stood "5 Pointz". The building that was home to much of the graffiti culture in the burrough of Queens. It was a huge destination for many tourists to the city. Now only rubble remains as they make space for new development.
