So today I continued on my efforts to get rid of my Covid fat! OK, to get rid of my “fat” but can’t I at least try and use Covid as an excuse for something..... today I #cycled 21 miles to and from my #physicaltherapy appoint with the amazing @nami735pottery at @nycphysio - it turns out #cycling #north up the #westsidehighway against the #wind is seriously hard work to the degree that I honestly thought about dumping the #bike in the back of an #lyft and relaxing instead but the problem with this new found #addiction is I couldn’t bear the thought of letting myself down! So despite being late and a little tired and suffering from #jelliedlegs I felt good. The journey back was easier but still tough from the wind and as I got to the #nywaterway #ferry to go back over the #hudsonriver I felt a deep sense of pride especially as my #physicaltherapist sent me a kind message of encouragement. Discovered a small lighthouse under the George Washington Bridge, I never knew it was here, since I’m usually on my way uptown and trying to avoid pedestrians on the greenway. Friday night did a quick ride with some of guys I know in Harlem to stretch out legs. A few dipped out when their was a chance of rain. Surprised how crowded it was along that route, no concept of social distancing as people were partying it as if there was no pandemic happening. Though we’re in Phase two, still not sure why folks are taking liberties with their lives and others.
